No. 82 Tahun 2001.

Water is a crucial need of all organisms. The availability of water in the District of Rakit, Banjarnegara which came from the Serayu River is abundant amount of water for agricultural activities. The growing of population and different of land use will decrease its quality as well as the water quality. The purpose of this research was to identify and to measure the suitability of the irrigation water for farmlands. The parameters being used were physical, chemical, and biological water which were compared with the standard water quality class IV, based on Government Regulation Number 82 Year 2001 about water quality. This research was done in the District of Rakit, Banjarnegara, on May to July 2015. The method being used was the STORET method. The research started from pre-survey, survey, water sample acquirements, water sample analysis in a laboratory, and data analysis. The results of the water analytical test from sample point T0 to T13, for the physical and chemical parameter of the water using the STORET method showed that the irrigation water quality on conventional farmlands in the District of Rakit, Banjarnegara were still within the safe boundary and fit the standard of water quality for agriculture. The biological water parameter was categorized in D class with the score of -36 which indicates that it is highly polluted. This was affected by the accumulation of Fecal Coliform and Total Coliform that exceeded the water quality standard limit class IV, based on Government Regulation Number 82 Year 2001. In general, irrigation water quality in the District of Rakit, Banjarnegara is still remarkably suitable for agricultural activities.
