PRARANCANGAN PABRIK PHTHALIC ANHYDRIDE DARI NAPHTHALENE DAN UDARA DENGAN KAPASITAS 80.000 TON/TAHUN

Pabrik phthalic anhydride dirancang dengan kapasitas 80.000 ton/tahun dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun. Phthalic anhydride yang dihasilkan memiliki kemurnian 99,80 % dengan impuritis berupa hasil samping yaitu maleic anhydride dan napthoquinone. Napthalene sebagai bahan baku di impor dari Tiongkok dengan kebutuhan 100.540,75 ton/tahun sedangkan udara yang sebesar 1.077.500,16 ton/tahun. Hasil samping berupa maleic anhydride berjumlah 11.809,82 ton/tahun dan napthoquinone berjumlah 2.834,33 ton/tahun. Produksi phthalic anhydride dimulai dengan persiapan bahan baku, yaitu naphthalene dilebur dalam melter lalu selanjutnya diuapkan. Setelah itu gas naphthalene bersama udara yang telah ditekan hingga 3,5 atm, dipanaskan dengan furnace hingga suhu 350 0C. kemudain reaksi terjadi di reaktor fluidized bed, gas hasil reaksi dipisahkan dengan non-condensable gas dan dirubah fasenya dengan switch condenser, lalu dipisahkan dengan air dan naphthalene sisa dalam decanter. Pemurnian phtahlic anhydride dilakukan di menara destilasi untuk dipisahkan dari maleic anhydride dan napthoquinone. Phthalic anhydride murni selanjutnya dipadatkan dengan flaker hingga suhu kamar untuk selanjutnya masuk silo penyimpanan. Pabrik ini sedianya akan dibangun di Cilegon, Provinsi Banten, diatas tanah seluas 100 Ha dan memperkerjakan 259 karyawan. Kebutuhan air untuk utilitas dan proses berjumlah 105.962,57 kg/jam. Kebutuhan udara tekan sebesar 400 m3 /jam, listrik 14,588.90 kW dan bahan bakar LNG sebesar 685,56909 kg/jam. Pabrik phthalic anhydride ini memerlukan modal tetap sebesar US$ 58,013,302.00. modal kerja sebesar US$ 43,852,544.54. Laba yang didapat sebelum pajak sebesar US$ 16,193,567.62 dan laba setelah pajak sebesar US$ 8,096,783.81. Nilai ROI sebelum pajak sebesar 27,91 % sedangkan ROI setelah pajak sebesar 13,95 %. Nilai POT sebelum pajak sebesar 2,72 tahun sedangkan setelah pajak sebesar 4,39 tahun. Nilai BEP 48,16 %. Dan SDP 27,54 %. Selain itu nilai DCFRR sebesar 23,68 % apabila dibandingkan dengan nilai MAAR yang sebesar 1,5 x suku bunga deposito yaitu 10,75 %. Maka DCFRR pabrik ini sudah lebih besar. Kesimpulannya pabrik phthalic anhydride layak untuk didirikan.

Phthalic anhydride plant is designed with a capacity of 80,000 tons/year with operating time of 330 days/year. Phthalic anhydride produced has a purity of 99.80% with impurities such as byproducts which Maleic Anhydride and napthoquinone. Napthalene as raw materials imported from China to the needs of 100,540.75 tons/year, while the air of 1,077,500.16 tons/year. Byproducts such as Maleic Anhydride amounted to 11809.82 tons/year and napthoquinone amounted to 2834.33 tons/year. Phthalic anhydride production begins with the preparation of raw materials, namely naphthalene melted in a melter and then subsequently evaporated. After that naphthalene gas along the air that has been reduced to 3.5 atm, the furnace is heated to a temperature of 350 0C. Reaction occurs in the fluidized-bed reactor, the reaction gases are separated by a non-condensable gas and phase changed with a switch condenser and then separated with water and residual naphthalene in the decanter. Purification phtahlic anhydride conducted in distillation towers to be separated from the Maleic Anhydride and napthoquinone. Phthalic anhydride pure further solidified with flaker to room temperature for subsequent entry storage warehouse. The plant is due to be built in Cilegon, Banten province, in an area of 100 hectares and employs 259 employees. Water needs for utilities and process amounted to 105,962.57 kg/hour. Compressed air requirement of 400 m3/hour, electricity 14,588.90 kW and LNG fuel is about 685.56909 kg/hour. phthalic anhydride plant requires a fixed capital of US$ 58,013,302.00. and working capital of US$ 43,852,544.54. Income earned before tax of US$ 16,193,567.62 and a profit after tax of US$ 8,096,783.81. ROI value before tax of 27,91 % while ROI after tax of 13,95 %. POT value before tax of 2,72 years, while after tax of 4,39 years. BEP value of 48,16 %. And SDP 27,54 %. In addition DCFRR value of 23,68 % when compared to the value of 1.5 x MAAR that the deposit rate is 10.75%. Then DCFRR this plant has been greater. In conclusion phthalic anhydride plant feasible to set up.
