Pengkondisian udara (AC) adalah sistem mesin yang dirancang untuk menstabilkan suhu udara dan kelembaban suatu area. Air Conditioner umumnya memakai sistem siklus refrigerasi, yaitu sistem dimana suatu refrigeran bersirkulasi di pipa-pipa instalasi, memutari kondensor dan evaporator, didorong oleh kompresor, tetapi ada juga Air Conditioner yang menggunakan sistem penguapan, biasanya dikarenakan untuk kenyamanan pendingin di gedung-gedung dan kendaraan bermotor. Adapun sebab mengapa gas refrigerant di pilih sebagai bahan yang di sirkulasikan, yaitu karena bahan ini mudah menguap dan bentuknya bisa berubah-ubah, yang berbentuk cairan dan gas. Panas yang berada pada pipa kondensor berasal dari gas refrigerant yang di tekan oleh kompressor sehingga bahan tersebut menjadi panas dan pada bagian katup ekspansi pipa sebagai tempat sirkulasi gas refrigeran di perkecil, sehingga tekanannya semakin meningkat dan pada pipa evaporator menjadi dingin. Tentu saja pada Air Conditioner pasti terdapat masalah yang terjadi sehingga mengganggu kenyamanan , oleh sebab itu saya mencoba untuk menelusuri komponen-komponen Air Conditioner yang mengalami kerusakan atau gangguan.
