Teknologi Java berkembang pesat dalam bidang teknologi informasi. Salah satu teknologi Java adalah Graphical User Interface yang mendukung design patern MVC (Model-View-Controller) dan dapat dihubungkan dengan basis data MySQL. Sebagai alternatif Java dapat diimplementasikan dalam membangun GUI Java untuk melakukan fungsi utama sebuah sistem seperti proses menciptakan (create), membaca (read), memperbarui (update), menghapus (delete) data. Sistem informasi presensi pegawai sebagai studi kasus permasalahan ini dibangun karena masih banyak permasalahan yang muncul seperti kurang tertata dengan rapi dan tidak terorganisasi dengan baik. Oleh karena itu dirasa tepat GUI ini dibuat untuk mempermudah proses presensi pegawai.

Java technology is developing rapidly in the field of information technology. One of the Java Technology is a Graphical User Interface that supports design patern MVC (Model-View-Controller) and can be connected with the MySQL database. As an alternative to Java can be implemented in building the Java GUI to perform the primary functions of a system such as the process of creating, read , update, delete data. Presence information system employees as a case study this issue built because there are still many problems are not arrangement orderly and not well organized. Therefore it is appropriate GUI was created to simplify the process of employee presence.
