INTISARI Rem adalah komponen kendaraan yang sangat penting. Fungsi rem itu sendiri adalah untuk menghentikan kendaraan. Sistem rem yang digunakan untuk proyek akhir ini adalah sistem rem mobil di Otomotif laboratorium Universitas Gadjah Mada. Yang tidak dapat berfungsi dengan baik karena ada banyak kerusakan berbagai komponen yang tidak dapat digunakan untuk siswa praktikum. Tujuan dalam direkondisi sistem rem pelatih adalah untuk memperbaiki fungsi rem yang akan digunakan lagi untuk siswa praktikum. Dalam trainer ini rekondisi penulis pertama kali memeriksa semua komponen rem. Setelah itu, penulis melakukan analisis terhadap kerusakan. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data sebagai acuan dalam proses pembuatan laporan akhir ini adalah praktek di Laboratorium Otomotif Universitas Gadjah Mada, konsultasi dengan ceramah dan membaca buku-buku otomotif. Berikutnya, penulis dilakukan perbaikan pada sistem rem pelatih. Setelah melakukan perbaikan pada sistem rem pelatih, penulis menguji sistem rem ini dengan memutar disk dan drum dengan menyalakan vacum dan dengan mematikan vacum tersebut. Ketika vacum dihidupkan dan pedal rem diinjak. Daya pengereman pada pedal lebih ringan daripada ketika vacum dimatikan. Jadi rem fungsi kesimpulan yang berfungsi dengan baik sehingga dapat digunakan untuk praktikum mahasiswa. Kata kunci : Sistem rem, Vakum, Rem cakram, Rem tromol.

ABSTRACT Brake is very important vehicle components. Brake function itself is to stop the vehicle. Brake system used for this final project is the car brake system in the Automotive laboratory Universitas Gadjah Mada . Which can not function properly because there is a lot of damage to various components that can not be used for practicum students. The goal in this reconditioned brake system trainer is to repair the function of the brakes to be used again for practicum students. In this trainer reconditioning the writer first checked all brake components. After that, the writer conducted an analysis of damage. The method used to collect data as a reference in the process of making this final report is the practice in Automotive Laboratory Universitas Gadjah Mada,consultation with the lecture and read books automotive. Next, the writer performed repairs on the brake system trainer . After doing repairs on the brake system trainer , the writer tested this brake system by rotating disc and drum by turning on the vacum and by turning off the vacum. When the vacum is turned on and the brake pedal is stepped. Braking power on the pedal lighter than when the vacum is turned off. So the conclusion function brakes are functioning properly so it can be used for practicum students.
