Selama ini pihak program studi pendidikan kimia Universitas Riau mengalami kesulitan dalam pencarian judul skripsi, dimana mahasiswa harus mencari secara manual dari daftar judul yang tertulis di buku agenda skripsi agar tidak terdapat kesamaan judul skripsi. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dibuatlah sebuah Sistem Informasi Pencarian Judul Skripsi Berbasis desktop, yakni sebuah perangkat lunak sistem informasi yang akan dibangun untuk membantu pihak program studi pendidikan kimia dalam menghimpun data judul skripsi hingga penyajian informasi dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Selain itu, dapat memudahkan mahasiswa dalam pencarian judul agar tidak terdapat kesamaan antara mahasiswa yang satu dengan yang lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi pencarian judul skripsi di program studi Pendidikan Kima Universitas Riau Pekanbaru secara mudah dan efisien. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penyusunan Tugas Akhir ini adalah Studi Pustaka, Observasi, dan Wawancara. Program ini dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Groovy dan database MySQL. Hasil dari pembuatan system ini, pihak program studi pendidikan kimia dapat melakukan pencarian judul skripsi dengan cepat dan akurat.

During this time the chemistry education study program of Riau University have difficulty in finding the title of thesis. Where students have to find it manually from the list of titles written in thesis agenda that there is no similarity thesis title. Based on these problems then made a Thesis Title Information System Desktop-Based Search, which is a software information system will be built to help the chemistry education study program in collecting data thesis title to the presentation of information in the form of tables and graphs. Moreover, it can be easy for students in search of a title that there is no similarity between students with each other. The purpose of this research is to develop an information system of thesis title search at the Chemistry Education program of Riau University of Pekanbaru that easily and efficiently. Data collection methods used in the preparation of this final project is Library Studies, Observation, and interviews. This program was developed using the Groovy programming language and MySQL database, The results of this system carrier, the chemistry education program can perform a title search thesis that quickly and accurately.
