Pompa Condensate G-37-05 A adalah salah satu pompa vital yang berada di PT.Pertamina RU V Balikpapan. Pompa ini terletak di Plant Sea Water Desalination yang berfungsi untuk memompakan air dari pompa feed water ke Demineralization Plant yang nanti digunakan sebagai air umpan boiler. Pengkajian ini bertujuan agar mengetahui penyebab kerusakan pada pompa Condensate G-37-05 A dengan metode literature (Library Research) dan studi lapangan (Field Research). Pada pompa Condensate G-37-05 A terjadi kerusakan berupa vibrasi sehingga menyebabkan patahnya poros di dekat Impeller, bantalan pecah, tidak seimbang, dan tidak sejajar . Material poros terbuat dari SS 316 yang memiliki sifat mekanik keuletan yang tinggi dan tahan terhadap laju korosi. Bantalan dengan kode 6305 merk SKF harus diganti dengan yang baru. Vibrasi juga menyebabkan ketidaksejajaran poros pompa dengan motor sehingga menyebabkan pompa tidak dapat beroperasi. Dari hasil pengamatan, kerusakan pada pompa Condensate G-37-05 A disebabkan karena vibrasi sehingga menyebabkan bantalan yang pecah, poros yang putus, tidak seimbang, dan ketidaksejajaran antara penggerak dan yang digerakkan.

Condensate pump series G-37-05 A is one of the vital pump that is in PT.Pertamina RU V Balikpapan. This pump is located at the plant Sea Water Desalination which serves to pump water from the feed water pump to Demineralization Plant which will be used as boiler feed water. This assessment aims to determine the cause of the damage of the condensate pump series G-37-05 A by method of literature (Library Research) and field study (field research). In the condensate pump series G-37-05 A damage in the form of vibrations that lead to broken shaft near to the impeller, bearing broke, unbalance, and misalignment. Shaft material is made of ss 316 which is has high tenacity mechanical properties and resistance to the rate of corrosion. Bearing with code 6305 SKF must be replaced with the new item. Vibrations which cause misalignment of the pump shaft with the motor, causing the pump can���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½t operate. Based on the result, the damage of the condensate pump G-37-05 A due to vibration which causing bearing broke, breaking shaft, unbalance, and misalignment between driver and driven.
