THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF POKDARWIS KREBET BINANGUN IN DEVELOPING KREBET TOURISM VILLAGE

Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang kontribusi dari kelompok sadar wisata yang bernama Pokdarwis Krebet Binangun dalam upaya pengembangan pariwisata melalui program desa wisata di desa Krebet, Kabupaten Bantul. Hal ini sangat menarik untuk dibahas karena program ini berorientasi untuk mengembangkan suatu daerah pedesaan. Melalui partisipasi masyarakat lokal secara langsung dan mandiri, masyarakat dapat mengelola potensi wisatanya. Dalam program ini, pemerintah terkait hanya bertanggung jawab sebagai pengawas, penasehat dan penyedia fasilitas. Data-data yang berkaitan dengan tugas akhir ini diperoleh melalui beberapa metode, yaitu observasi langsung dan wawancara dengan pihak terkait sebagai metode utama dan tinjauan pustaka serta sumber dari internet sebagai metode pendukung. Guna mendukung program ini, maka pembentukan Pokdarwis Krebet Binangun ini sangat penting. Bahkan setelah pokdarwis ini terbentuk, pemerintah juga memberikan dukungan untuk pengembangan kualitas Pokdarwis melalui program pendidikan dan pelatihan keahlian. Pemerintah berharap Pokdarwis Krebet Binangun dapat memberikan ilmu yang mereka dapat kepada para pengelola desa wisata dan masyarakat setempat. Sehingga masyarakat desa wisata Krebet dapat mengembangkan potensi wisata secara mandiri dan meningkatkan keahlian yang mereka miliki. Keahlian yang dikembangkan berupa penguasaan bahasa Inggris dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, menjadi tuan rumah yang baik dalam menyambut tamu, tata cara menyajikan hidangan tradisional, menjalin kerjasama dengan pihak swasta maupun universitas serta mempromosikan potensi wisata. Tentu saja hal ini akan memberikan dampak positif pada peningkatan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa Krebet.

This graduating paper aims to explain about the contributions of a tourism awareness group Pokdarwis Krebet Binangun in the efforts of tourism village development program in Krebet village, Bantul Regency. This issue is interesting to be discussed because this program is oriented to develop a rural area. Through the participation of local communities directly and independently, they are able to manage their tourism potential. In this program, the related government is only responsible as the supervisor, advisor and facilities provider. Data related to the topic are obtained by using some methods, which are direct observation and interview as the primary method and library research as the secondary method as well as internet research as the supporting method. In order to support this program, the establishment of Pokdarwis Krebet Binangun is important. After Pokdarwis was established, the government also provided the supports in improving the quality of Pokdarwis through education and skill training programs. Related government expected Pokdarwis Krebet Binangun can share their knowledge to the tourism village coordinators and local communities. Therefore, Krebet villager can develop the tourism potential independently and improve their skill. The developed skills are in the form of using English in daily life, being a good host in welcoming the guests, the manner of the dish serving, establish the cooperation network with the private sector or universities and promote the tourism potential. In the conclusion, this program will give contribution in increasing the incomes and the prosperity of Krebet villager.
