EKSISTENSI NILAI ISLAM DALAM TATA RUANG DEMAK MODERN

Keberadaan ruang kota atau wilayah, tidak hanya dilihat dari ciri-ciri morfologinya saja, tapi juga dilihat dari fungsi yang melekat padanya. Ruang Islami juga bisa dilihat dari aktivitas Islami yang ada di dalamnya. Aktivitas Islami ini muncul dari budaya Islami yang terbentuk dari ajaran Islam yang dianut oleh masyarakatnya. Ruang Islami di Demak, muncul dari aktivitas Islami sederhana berupa aktivitas peribadatan, pembinaan dan penyebaran ajaran Islam yang dilakukan oleh Walisongo. Dari sini mulai berkembang ruang Islami Demak hingga mencakup semua aspek kehidupan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan ruang aktivitas Islami dalam tata ruang Demak modern dan menemukan nilai yang mendasari aktivitas tersebut. Penelitian ini mengambil lokus di Kabupaten Demak dengan fokus pada persebaran pusat-pusat aktivitas Islami dan hubungan yang terbentuk. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode induktif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, dimana peneliti menganalisis fenomena yang muncul dari sudut pandang obyek penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat lima konsep yang membangun ruang Islami di Demak, yaitu (1) sejarah perkembangan ruang Islami di Demak, (2) aktor perkembangan ruang Islami di Demak, (3) ruang-ruang berbasis ajaran Islam di Demak, (4) keberadaan ruang Islami skala kota dan Kabupaten dan (5) konsep dasar tata ruang Islami di Demak. Keberadaan ruang-ruang Islami ini mencakup empat aspek utama yaitu ruang aktivitas sosial kemasyarakatan Islami, ruang aktivitas ekonomi Islami, ruang aktivitas politik dan pemerintahan Islami serta ruang aktivitas pendidikan dan pembinaan Islami. Motivasi dari berkembangnya ruang Islami adalah terdapatnya nilai Islam dalam setiap aktivitas Islami masyarakat, dimana nilai Islam ini berada pada wilayah abstrak ajaran Islam yang mencakup dimensi kebaikan dunia dan akhirat. Dari nilai Islam ini masyarakat terdorong untuk beraktivitas Islami sehingga terciptalah ruang aktivitas Islami di Kabupaten Demak.

The existence of urban space or regional is not only from the characteristics of morphology but also is seen from the functions attached to it. Islamic space can also be seen from Islamic activity that happen in it. Islamic activity is emerged from an Islamic culture that was formed from the Islamic teaching that embraced by the community. Islamic space in Demak, arised from the simple Islamic activities such as religious activities, establishment and spread of Islam that was made by Walisongo. From that, the islamic space in Demak grew up to cover all aspects of life. This research aims to find spaces of Islamic activities in spatial uses of modern Demak and find the underlying value of the activity. This study took place in Kabupaten Demak with a focus on distribution of Islamic activities and relationships that were formed. This research was conducted using qualitative inductive method with phenomenological approach, where researchers analyzed the phenomena that emerged from the viewpoint of the object of study. These results indicated that there were five concepts that build Islamic space in Demak, namely (1) the historical of Islamic space growth in Demak, (2) the actor of the Islamic space growth in Demak, (3) the spaces that is based on the Islamic teaching in Demak, (4 ) the existence of an Islamic space in city and regional scale and (5) the basic concept of Islamic space in Demak. The existence of Islamic spaces include four major aspects that were the space of Islamic social activites, the space of Islamic economy, the space of politics and goverment activites and also the space of Islamic education and development activities. Motivation of the growth of Islamic space was the presence of Islamic values in every activity of Islamic society, where Islamic value was located on the territory of the abstract dimension of Islam which includes the goodness of the world and the hereafter. From the Islamic value, muslim community was driven to do the Islamic activity so that created space of Islamic activities in Demak.
