PENDIDIKAN DAN PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI PROVINSI D.I YOGYAKARTA TAHUN 1990-2013

2015 | Tesis | S2 SAINS ILMU EKONOMIPendidikan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi memiliki hubungan yang kompleks. Pendidikan memengaruhi secara penuh pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara (daerah). Hal ini bukan saja karena pendidikan akan berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas, tetapi juga akan berpengaruh fertilitas masyarakat. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pendidikan yang akan dilihat melalui dua hal yakni lama rata-rata sekolah dan pengeluaran pemerintah di bidang pendidikan kabupaten kota di D.I Yogyakarta tahun 1990-2013 terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Data yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah data panel tingkat kabupaten kota, yang akan diestimasi dengan pendekatan ekonometri. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah fixed effect robust. Peran pendidikan yang dilihat melalui lama rata-rata sekolah dan pengeluaran pemerintah d bidang pendidikan menunjukkan adanya peran kedua hal tersebut dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi. Selain itu peran pendidikan juga menunjukkan signifikansi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Hasil ini menjadi penting bagi pemerintah sebagai pengambil keputusan bahwa peran lama rata-rata sekolah sekolah dan peran pengeluaran pemerintah di bidang pendidikan, ternyata memberikan dampak yang positif bagi pengembangan pertumbuhan ekonomi
Education and economic growth have complex relationships. Education fully affect economic growth of a country (region). This is not only because education will affect productivity, but it will also affect the fertility of society. This study aims to determine the role of education that will be seen through two things, the average school graduation time and government spending on education in DI Yogyakarta�s counties/cities (years:1990-2013) to economic growth. The data used in this study is the counties/cities level panel data, which will be estimated by econometric approach. The analysis tool used is fixed effect robust. The role of education is seen through the average school graduation time and government spending in education indicate both of these roles in economic growth. In addition it also shows the significance of education to economic growth. These results became important for the government as decision-makers that the role of average school graduation time and the role of government spending in education, it provides a positive impact on the development of economic growth.
