Metode pendidikan kesehatan dengan menggunakan media pendukung diperlukan dalam pengendalian merokok oleh ketua RT. Peneliti menggunakan penyuluhan disertai leaflet dan pemutaran video. Tujuan. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui penyuluhan disertai leaflet dan pemutaran video dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan intensi dalam pengendalian merokok oleh ketua RT. Metode.Jenis penelitian adalah quasi-experiment dengan rancangan nonequivalent pre test and post test control-group design, sampel terbagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dengan mendapat perlakuan penyuluhan disertai leaflet dan kelompok kontrol yang diputarkan video. Analisis statistik paired t-test dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan intensi sedangkan analisis statistik independent t-test dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan nilai dari kedua kelompok sampel. Hasil. Peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan intensi terjadi pada kedua kelompok responden, baik itu kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat penyuluhan dengan leaflet maupun kelompok kontrol yang diputarkan video. Hal ini ditunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pada post test 1 dan post test 2 dan secara statistik bermakna (p < 0,05). Uji statistik selanjutnya menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna pada rata-rata pengetahuan dan intensi antara metode penyuluhan disertai leaflet dengan pemutaran video. Responden yang merupakan ketua RT dapat berperanan dalam pengendalian merokok dengan membuat aturan di tingkat rumah tangga. Kesimpulan. Penyuluhan pada ketua RT dalam pengendalian merokok dengan disertai media leaflet dan pemutaran video efektif untuk pengendalian rokok. Methods of health education by using media support is required in the control of smoking by the chairman of the neighborhood (RT). Researchers use the extension with leaflets and video playback. Purpose. To determine the effect of health education through counseling with leaflets and video playback in improving knowledge, attitudes, and intentions in the control of smoking by the chairman of the neighborhood (RT). Method. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent pre-test and post-test control group design, the sample was divided into an experimental group treated with counseling accompanied by leaflets and control groups that played video. Statistical analysis of paired t-test was conducted to determine the increase in knowledge, attitudes, and intentions while the statistical analysis independent t-test was performed to determine differences in the value of the two groups of samples. Result. Improved knowledge, attitudes, and intentions occurred in both groups of respondents, both the experimental group that received counseling with leaflets and a control group that played video. It is shown the average increase in post test 1 and post test 2 and statistically significant (p <0.05). Subsequent statistical test showed significant differences in the average knowledge and intentions among leaflet extension methods along with video playback. Respondents who is chairman of RT can play a role in controlling smoking by making the rules at the household level. Conclusion. Counseling on control of the RT in smoking with accompanying leaflet media and playback video are effective to tobacco control.
