ANALISIS MOTIVASI PENGUNJUNG TAMAN BURUNG DI KEBUN BINATANG GEMBIRA LOKA YOGYAKARTA

Kebun Binatang Gembira Loka atau lebih dikenal dengan sebutan GLZoo merupakan satu- satunya kebun binatang yang ada di Yogyakarta. Koleksi khususnya fauna yang dimiliki GLZoo sangat beragam dan menarik. Koleksi fauna disini dikelompokkan berdasarkan kelasnya, salah satunya yaitu Taman Burung yang menjadi lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan motivasi wisatawan yang berwisata di Taman Burung GLZoo. Karakteristik wisatawan dalam penelitian ini meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, daerah asal wisatawan, pekerjaan, penghasilan, kelompok wisatawan dan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai motivasi wisatawan yang terdiri dari motivasi berdasarkan iklim dan lingkungan, relaksasi, petualangan, keinginan pribadi, dan pendidikan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, penyebaran angket atau kuesionerdan studi pustaka. Wisatawan yang diberikan kuesioner dalam penelitian ini difokuskan untuk pengunjung yang telah berusia 15 tahun keatas, karena dianggap dapat memahami pertanyaan yang diberikan peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian maka diketahui bahwa faktor motivasi berdasarkanrelaksasi, petualangan, keinginan pribadi dan pendidikan menjadi alasan bagi wisatawan untuk berwisata di Taman Burung GLZoo Yogyakarta.

Gembira Loka Zoo, or the famous GLZoo is the one and only zoo in Yogyakarta. GLZoo has a various and very interesting collections including the fauna. The fauna's collections in this place is grouped by the classes, for example the Bird Park, that has been selected as the location of this research. The purpose of this research is to recognize the characteristic and visitors' motivation who visit the Bird Park in GLZoo. Visitors' characteristic in this research consists of age, sex, education, the origin of visitors, occupation, salary, group of visitors, and the number of visitors. This research is discussing about visitors' motivation which include of the motivation based on the climate and enviroutment, relaxation, adventure, personal desire, and education. The data collection is done by observation, disseminating the questionnaire and literature study. This research focused on the visitors aged who are over 15 years, because they are able understand the questions put by researcher. The result of this research can be seen by the motivation of the visitors based on the relaxation, adventure, personal desire, and education are the reason of the visitors to visit the Bird Park GLZoo, Yogyakarta.
