HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN SOSIAL ORANG TUA DENGAN MINAT BERWIRAUSAHA PADA MAHASISWA

Dukungan sosial orang tua merupakan hal yang penting dalam kehidupan, yang juga disebut sebagai salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi minat berwirausaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan secara empiris apakah ada dukungan sosial orang tua dengan minat berwirausaha pada subjek mahasiswa. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah ada hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan minat berwirausaha pada mahasiswa. Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial orang tua yang diberikan maka semakin tinggi minat berwirausaha pada subjek dan semakin rendah dukungan sosial orang tua yang diberikan maka semakin rendah minat berwirausaha pada subjek. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 46 mahasiswa angkatan 2010-2012 yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Kewirausahaan. Adapun skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala yang disusun sendiri oleh peneliti, yaitu Skala Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua dan Skala Minat Berwirausaha yang telah diuji validitas isinya dengan professional judgment. Data penelitian skala dukungan sosial orang tua berjumlah 39 aitem dengan koefisien korelasi yang bergerak antara 0,323 sampai 0,886 dan reliabilitas dengan koefisien Alpha sebesar 0,960. Sedangkan, data penelitian skala minat berwirausaha berjumlah 32 aitem, memiliki koefisien korelasi antara 0,318 sampai 0,836 dan reliabilitas dengan koefisien Alpha sebesar 0,939. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan uji korelasi product moment dari Pearson. Hasil analisis menunjukkan besarnya koefisien korelasi sebesar rxy = 0,476 dengan p = 0,001 (p < 0,01). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada korelasi positif yang sangat signifikan antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan minat berwirausaha pada subjek sehingga hipotesis yang diajukan diterima.

Parental social support is an important element in life. It was found to be one of the factors that can influence entrepreneurial interest. The purpose of this study is to know the correlation between parental social support and entrepreneurial interest of university students. It was hypothesized that there is a significant positive correlation between between parental social support and entrepreneurial interest among the subjects. The higher the parental social support, the higher the entrepreneurial interest of the subjects. The subject of this study was college student (2010-2012) who have taken Entrepreneurship courses. 46 subjects were involved in this study. Professional judgement was used to validate the two scales of this study, the Parental Sosial Support scale (39 items) and Entrepreneurial Interest scale (32 items). Correlation coefficient was conducted to measure the correlation between parental social support and entrepreneurial interest of the subjects. Correlation coefficient of the parental social support scale was among 0,323 to 0,886 and Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was 0,960. While correlation coefficient of the entrepreneurial interest scale was among 0,318 to 0,836 and Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was 0,939. Analysis was conducted to examine the correlation between parental social support and entrepreneurial interest of the subjects using Pearsons product moment. Correlation coefficient yielded a significant positive correlation between parental social support and entrepreneurial interest of the subjects rxy = 0,476 and p = 0,001 (p < 0,01). The result indicated that the higher the parental social support, the higher the entrepreneurial interest of the subjects. Base on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.
