Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah penduduk, pertumbuhan ekonomi, pendidikan dan kesehatan terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Indonesia tahun 2008-2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif.Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder 33 provinsi di Indonesia periode tahun 2008-2013. Data diolah dengan menggunakan analisis data panel dengan model regresi random effect. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mencari persamaan regresi dan nilai koefisien determinan (R2).Hasil penelitian dengan taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi, pendidikan dan kesehatan mempunyai pengaruh signifikan, sedangkan jumlah penduduk berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin periode 2008- 2013.

ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the effect of population number, economic growth, education, and health on the number of poor population in Indonesia in 2008-2013. This is a quantitative study. The data in the study are secondary data  from 33 provinces in Indonesia in the period 0f 2008-2013. The data are processed by means of the panel data analysis using the random effect regression model. The analysis technique is done by finding out of regression equation and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of the study at the significance level of 5% show that the variables of number of economic growth, education, and health have a significant effect, and economic growth does not have a significant effect on the population in the period of 2008-2013.
