LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR IMPLEMENTASI ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI (APD) DAN KESEHATAN DAN KESELAMATAN KERJA (K3) DI PABRIK PENGOLAHAN COKELAT PUSAT PENELITIAN KOPI DAN KAKAO INDONESIA

Pusat Penelitian Kopi dan Kakao Indonesia (PPKKI) menerapkan sistem kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (k3) untuk karyawan dalam mengurangi kecelakaan kerja. Pekerja pada PPKKI sudah cukup baik dalam penggunaan APD, namun masih ada sejumlah kecelakaan kerja, terutama pada pabrik pengolahan cokelat, sehingga perlu adanya identifikasi ulang (penelitian). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui alat pelindung diri (APD), potensi dan faktor penyebab bahaya, dan pemakaian K3 pada PPKKI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, yang bertujuan memberikan gambaran dengan jelas alat pelindung diri yang digunakan pada pabrik pengolahan kakao PPKKI, potensi dan faktor bahaya, dan pemakaian K3 pada PPKKI. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa APD yang digunakan pada pabrik pengolahan cokelat yaitu sarung tangan, masker, earplug, jaslab, sandal jepit, dan hair cap. Potensi dan faktor bahaya pada pabrik pengolahan cokelat PPKKI yaitu debu dan bising yang mengakibatkan gangguan pada pernafasan dan pendengaran pekerja. K3 yang tidak diterapkan pekerja pada pabrik pengolahan cokelat PPKKI yaitu pekerja tidak menggunakan earplug sehingga menyebabkan potensi bahaya kebisingan pada telinga.

Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Institut (PPKKI) applyed a system of occupational safety and health (K3) for the employees in reducing workplace accidents. Workers at PPKKI is good enough in the use of PPE, but there are still a number of work accidents, especially in chocolate processing factory, so it needsto have re-identification (research). The purpose of this study was to determine the personal protective equipments (PPE), the potential and the factors causing danger, and the use of K3 on PPKKI. The method used in this research is descriptive, which aims to provide a clear description of the personal protective equipment used in PPKKI cocoa processing factory, the potential and the factors causing danger, and the use of K3 in PPKKI. The final conclusion is that the PPE which are used in chocolate processing factoryare gloves, masks, earplugs, laboratory coat, flip-flops, and hair cap. The potentials and thefactors of danger in chocolate processing factoryof PPKKI are dust and noise resulting in respiratory and hearing disorders. Then, the K3 which is not applied to workers at a chocolate processing factory of PPKKI isthat workers do not use earplug so that itis causing potential danger of noise in the ears.
