DISTRO LINUX SERVER DAN MONITORING NETWORK BASED UBUNTU DENGAN FASILITAS WEBFIG

Linux adalah Sistem Operasi yang berbasis open source. Dengan basis open source linux bersifat bebas dan dilisensi oleh General Public License (GPL). Salah satu distro linux yang banyak digunakan adalah Ubuntu, sehingga Ubuntu juga mewarisi sifat open source dan bersifat bebas untuk digunakan dan dipublikasikan. Ubuntu memiliki banyak variasi, diantaranya Ubuntu Desktop dan Ubuntu Server. Dalam karya tulis ini akan membahas tentang Ubuntu Server dengan pokok bahasan menyajikan Ubuntu Server agar mudah dioperasikan dan mudah dikelola dengan system basis click menggunakan web interface. Dengan web interface mengubah konfigurasi linux dapat dilakukan tanpa menuliskan command line, hal ini dikembangkan karena Ubuntu Server pada dasarnya tidak memiliki fasilitas Graphic User Interface (GUI). Setelah diberikan web interface, Ubuntu Server dipaketkat ulang, sehingga akan mendapatkan Live CD yang dapat didistribusikan. Hasil Live CD yang didapatkan akan berisikan seluruh isi dari Ubuntu Server yang telah dibuat dan siap untuk digunakan dalam berbagai komputer lain.

Linux is Operating System based on open source. Linux open source is free and licensed by General Public License (GPL). One of linux distro that used by a lot of people is Ubuntu, so Ubuntu is open source too and free to use and to distributed. Ubuntu has many version, including Ubuntu Desktop and Ubuntu Server. In this papers will discuss the Ubuntu Server with main subject serves Ubuntu Server in order to make easy to operated and easy to managed with click base using web interface. Web interface can change linux configuration without write command line, this matter developed because Ubuntu Server basically don’t have Graphic User Interface (GUI) facilities. After given web interface, Ubuntu Server is re-packed, so will be obtained a Live CD that can be distributed. The Live CD that obtained will contains all Ubuntu Server contents that was created and ready to use in various computer.
