PENGARUH ABU TERBANG BATU BARA TERHADAP SIFAT KIMIA SERTA SERAPAN TIMBAL TANAMAN AKAR WANGI DI INCEPTISOL DAN VERTISOL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh abu terbang batu bara terhadap sifat kimia Inceptisol dan Vertisol, pertumbuhan tanaman akar wangi, serta kandungan Pb yang dapat diserap tanaman akar wangi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari Mei 2014 sampai Februari 2015. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial, dengan faktor jenis tanah dan dosis abu terbang, dengan 3 kali ulangan. Pengamatan agronomi yang dilakukan meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang akar, beras segar dan berat kering akar, serta berat segar dan berat kering tajuk. Analisis laboratorium yang dilakukan meliputi analisis tanah awal, analisis abu terbang, analisis pupuk kandang, analisis tanah setelah panen, dan analisis Pb dalam tajuk dan akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasanya pengaruh abu terbang batu bara terhadap sifat kimia tanah belum terlihat signifikan dikarenakan abu terbang batu bara yang digunakan berbentuk kristal sehingga memiliki kelarutan relatif rendah. Tanaman akar wangi memiliki kemampuan mentranslokasikan Pb lebih baik dibandingkan mengakumulasikan Pb, meskipun sumber Pb bukan berasal dari abu terbang.

This research deals with study to determine the effects of coal fly ash to the chemical properties of inceptisol and vertisol, the growth of akar wangi, and the amount PB which could be absorbed by akar wangi. This research was conducted since May 2014 until February 2015. Randomized Block Design Factorial was used in this research. The factors were the type of soil and the dose of fly ash, for three times repetition. Agronomic observations that performed were the height of plants, number of tillers, length of root, fresh weight and dry weight of shoot and shoot. Laboratory analysises which performed were initial soil analysis, fly ash analysis, manure analysis, after harvest soil analysis, and Pb analysis in root and shoot. The results of this research showed that the effects of coal fly ash for chemical properties not significant because the fly ash that been used was in crystal form so it had low solubility. Akar wangi had an ability to translocate the Pb better than to accumulate the Pb, although the source of Pb was not from fly ash.
