Laporan ini menjelaskan tentang pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif di Kepolisian Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Pengolahan arsip adalah kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk mengorganisasikan atau menghimpun arsip inaktif dalam suatu sistem tertentu yang bertujuan agar arsip dapat ditemukan kembali dengan cepat, tepat dan lengkap baik kondisi fisik dan informasinya ketika dibutuhkan. Pengolahan yang dilakukan meliputi pencocokan, pemisahan, penataan, akses arsip. Terdapat tiga metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu studi pustaka, observasi-partisipasi, dan wawancara. Studi pustaka adalah pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber bahan pustaka yang berkaitan dengan judul. Observasi- partisipan adalah penulis terjun langsung dalam kegiatan organisasi untuk memperoleh data. Wawancara adalah pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan melakukan tanya jawab pada narasumber dilapangan. Kesimpulan dari pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif di Kepolisian Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta belum optimal. Penyebab belum optimal dalam pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif di Kepolisian Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta adalah sarana dan prasarana yang belum mendukung, sistem yang belum berjalan dengan baik sehingga pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif masih belum sesuai dengan peraturan Kapolri yang telah ditentukan.

This report describes the treatment of inactive records in police Yogyakarta. Processing of the archiveis the activities under taken to organize or collectinactive records in aparticular system that aims to make the archivecan berecovered quickly, accurate and complete good physical conditionand the information when needed. Processing performed included matching, separation, structuring, accessarchives. There are threemethods ofdata collection are literature study, participant observation, andinterviews. Literatur iscollecting data from the various sources of library materials related to the title. Observasi-participants is the author directly involved in the activities of the organization to obtain data. The interview is the collectionof data is done by a question and answer on there source field. Conclusion of processing inactive records at the Police Special Regionof Yogyakartais not optimal. Cause is not optimal in the treatment of inactive records in the Police Special Regionof Yogyakarta is in frastructure that is not supported, the system has not gone well so that the processing of inactive records are still notin accord ance with predeter mined rules police chief.
