Tugas akhir ini mendeskripsikan mengenai peran dan strategi departemen sales and marketing di hotel khususnya Grand Aston Yogyakarta. Penulis memilih judul ini ini dikarenakan pada saat sekarang ini hotel merupakan salah satu akomodasi penting dalam dunia pariwisata. Dan department Sales and Marketing merupakan salah satu kunci utama berkembangnya sebuah hotel. Di dalam proses penelitian penulis memilih metode Observasi dimana penulis melakukan penelitian langsung di hotel sebagai Reservasi Agent. Dengan metode ini penulis berusaha memaparkan secara detail, tepat dan jelas mengenai Departement Sales Marketing di Grand Aston Yogyakarata. Sehingga baik isi maupun bahasanya dapat diterima dan dipahami oleh pembaca. Jadi dapat disimpulkan Hotel Grand Aston Yogyakarta Sales and Marketing merupakan department yang bertanggung jawab terhadapstrategi pemasaran dan pencapaian target tingkat hunian (Occupancy) Keuntungan (Revenue) hotel. Para petugas Sales and Marketing harus bekerja setiap saat dalam memaksimalkan potensi meningkatkan RevenueHotel.

This thesis describes the role and strategic sales and marketing department in particular Grand Aston Yogyakarta. The author chose this title is because at the present time the hotel is oneof the important property in the world of tourism. And the sales and marketing department is one of the main keys beerkembangny a hotel. In the process of research the author chose the method in which the author conducted research observations directly at the hotel as a Reservation Agent. With this method the authors tried to explain in detail, precise and clear about the Department sales marketing at Grand Aston Hotel. So that both the content and the language can be accepted and understood by the reader. So it can be concluded Grand Aston Yogyakarta Sales And Marketing is a department that is responsible for marketing strategy and target achievement level of occupancy (Occ) hotel. Sales And Marketing Officers should work all the time in maximizing the potential of residential Grand Aston Yogyakarta, while protecting the entire hotel business activities.
