Di dalam hubungan kerja pasti akan ada hubungan antara pemberi kerja dengan pekerja/buruh yang akan menimbulkan adanya unsur pekerjaan, upah, perintah. Di situlah nantinya akan menimbulkan adanya hak dan kewajiban antara pengusaha dan pekerja/buruh yang harus dipenuhi. Dari hal tersebut sering kali bahkan tidak jarang terjadi perselisihan hubungan industrial antara pengusaha dengan pekerja/buruh yang kadangkala menimbulkan terjadinya Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK). Oleh sebab itu penulis ingin mengulas tentang proses penyelesaian perselisihan hubungan industrial terkait Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja melalui mediasi di suatu perusahaan itu. Praktik Kerja Lapangan bertujuan untuk memenuhi syarat kelulusan Program Diploma 3 Hukum Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada serta mengembangkan ketrampilan dan tanggung jawab penulis pada dunia kerja nyata. Manfaat Praktik Kerja Lapangan antara lain penulis dapat mengimplementasikan ilmu yang didapat selama diperkuliahan ke dalam praktik dunia kerja nyata.

In the employment relations, there surely will be a relationship between the boss and the workers which will raises into the elements of work, salary, and command. That's where the future will lead to the existence of rights and obligations between the boss and workers/laborers that have to be fulfilled. Based on that, there will happen the industrial disputes between the boss and the workers / laborers which are, sometimes, led to an Employment Termination (PHK). Therefore, the writer wants to discuss the process of the settlement of that industrial dispute, related to the Termination of Employment (PHK) through a mediation in the company. Field Work Practice aims to qualify the requirements for graduation 3rd Diploma Program, Vocational School of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada and develops the skills and responsibilities of the writer in the real working world. The benefits of Field Work Practice, among others, the writer can implement the knowledge which has been gained during the course in class into practices in the real working world.
