Kegiatan inti dari pembelajaran ditingkat perguruan tinggi adalah perkuliahan, kegiatan perkuliahan merupakan hal pokok yang perlu diperhatikan agar tecipta hasil yang maksimal bagi seluruh pihak. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pelaksanaan perkuliahan adalah masalah ketepatan waktu, yang akan berpengaruh dengan pemanfaatan waktu perkuliahan secara maksimal sehingga bila ada waktu yang tersisa maka dapat dimanfaatkan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Seringkali dalam kegiatan perkuliahan belum ada mekanisme pemanfaatan waktu secara baik. Hal yang sudah ada hanya berupa mekanisme penyampaian informasi penjadwalan kuliah secara konvensional. Maka diperlukan mekanisme penyampian jadwal secara otomatis. Dengan menggunakan sistem perangkat lunak sistem informasi jadwal kuliah berbasis website yang dirancang untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka kendala tersebut dapat diatasi. Sistem tersbut dapat dipasang pada server sehingga dapat melayani kebutuhan penyediaan informasi jadwal kuliah secara cepat dan efektif, sehingga diharapkan pemanfatan waktu perkuliahan akan lebih efektif dan efisien.
