KEPATUHAN PERAWAT TERHADAP STANDARD PRECAUTIONS DI RUMAH SAKIT JIWA DAERAH Dr RM SOEDJARWADI PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH

Latar belakang: Pelaksanaan standard precautions sebagai upaya mengurangi angka infeksi nosokomial tidak dipatuhi sepenuhnya oleh beberapa perawat sehingga hal tersebut membahayakan bagi kesehatan perawat, pasien, maupun orang lain yang berinteraksi dengan keduanya. Perawat mempunyai peranan penting untuk mencegah serta mengurangi penularan infeksi nosokomial dengan mematuhi pelaksanaan standard precautions. Standard precautions wajib diterapkan di tataran klinis manapun. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kepatuhan perawat terhadap standard precautions dengan karakteristiknya di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Dr RM Soedjarwadi Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif analitik dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Responden penelitian ini adalah perawat pelaksana dengan masa kerja lebih dari satu bulan, sebanyak 83 perawat. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan convenience sampling. Alat ukur penelitian ini adalah Compliance Standard Precautions Scale (CSPS). Metode pengambilan data menggunakan self-administired questionnaire. Hasil Penelitian: 51,8% responden berjenis kelamin perempuan, rata-rata usia responden 34,62 tahun, rata-rata pengalaman bekerja 3 tahun, responden didominasi perawat psikiatri (33,7%), 55,4% responden belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan mengenai pengontrolan infeksi, dan 72,3% responden berpendidikan D3. Tingkat kepatuhan responden terhadap standard precautions berada di tingkat sedang. Tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat kepatuhan tersebut dengan usia atau lamanya bekerja atau status pelatihan atau pendidikan, jenis kelamin, dan bidang keahlian. Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat kepatuhan tersebut dengan usia atau lamanya bekerja atau status pelatihan atau pendidikan, jenis kelamin, dan bidang keahlian.

Background: Standard precautions as a rules to control nosocomial infection rate did not followed by nurses, it caused illness for nurses, patient, hospital staff, or the other people that interacted with them. Nurses have an important role to control nosocomial infection by followed the rules of standard precautions. Aim: The study aimed to the relationship between the compliance of nurses toward standard precautions and the characteristic of the respondent at Rumah Sakit Jiwa Dr RM Soedjarwadi Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Methods: This study is descriptive quantitative analytic, cross-sectional design. The respondents (n=83 nurses) are clinical nurses who have clinical experiences more than one month, sample chosen by convenience sampling method. The compliance was measured using Compliance Standard Precautions Scale (CSPS) and filled up by the respondent (self-administired questionnaire). Results: 51,8% respondents are female, the mean of the age is 34,62 years old, the mean of the clinical experience is 3 years, most of respondents are psychiatry nurses (33,7%), most of respondents did not followed the course of controlling infections, and most of respondents were graduated from D3 (72,3%). The compliance of nurses toward standard precautions in RSJD Dr RM Soedjarwadi is in the middle class. There are no relationship between compliance of nurses and age, clinical experiences, course status, education background, gender and speciality. Conclusion: There are no relationship between compliance of nurses toward standard precautions and age, clinical experiences, course status, education background, gender and speciality.
