Listrik merupakan salah satu sumber energi yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari–hari. Semakin meningkatnya kebutuhan listrik terhadap konsumen, menjadikan Perusahaan Listrik Negara harus menyediakan kebutuhan yang diperlukan oleh konsumen listrik di Indonesia. Keandalan sistem proteksi menjadi elemen yang penting untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Dalam Proyek Akhir ini membahas pemasangan PMCB (Pole Mounted Circuit Breaker) yang merupakan alat inovasi dari PLN yang digunakan untuk proteksi jaringan tegangan menengah. Pada dasarnya prinsip kerja alat ini mirip seperti recloser, dengan sistem proteksi yang dapat dikoordinasikan dengan setting relay di gardu induk. PMCB dapat mendeteksi gangguan OCR (Over Current Relay) atau gangguan arus lebih, gangguan hubung singkat fasa-fasa dan juga fase-ground. PMCB juga dapat mendeteksi gangguan DGR (Directional Ground Relay) yaitu jenis gangguan hubung singkat fase - ground yang dapat di tentukan arah/daerah proteksinya.

Electricity is one important source of energy in our life. With the increasing needs of electricity from consumers, make the electricity company must gives the consumers what they needs. The reliability of the protection system becomes an important element to resolve the matter. In this final Project discuss the assembly of PMCB (Pole Mounted Circuit Breaker) which is innovation tool from PLN and it used for medium voltage network protection. Basically the principle work of PMCB is similar to the recloser, with protection system that can be coordinated with the the relay setting in the substation. PMCB can detect a disorder of OCR (Over Current Relay) or a disorder of the more current, a disorder brief circuit phase anda also ground phase. PMCB also can detect the disorder of DGR (Directional Ground Relay), that is the kind of short interference phase-ground circuit, which the direction/protection areas can set.
