PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN LIQUID FEED ADDITIVE TERHADAP PENAMPILAN PRODUKSI AYAM BROILER

Harga pakan yang mahal membuat peternak berpikir untuk mengoptimalkan pakan dengan menambahkan liquid feed additive dalam pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian liquid feed additive terhadap penampilan produksi ayam broiler. Ayam yang digunakan dalam penelitian berjumlah 180 ekor (unsex), dipilih secara acak yang dibagi menjadi tiga perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari tiga ulangan, dan setiap ulangan berjumlah 20 ekor. Perlakuan dalam pakan meliputi: (P0) pakan komersial ditambah air, (P1) pakan komersial ditambah probiotik, dan (P2) pakan komersial ditambah liquid feed additive. Variabel yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan, dan mortalitas. Data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola searah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan probitik dan penambahan liquid feed additive dapat meningkatkan konsumsi pakan (P<0,05), tidak meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan (P>0,05), meningkatkan nilai konversi pakan (P<0,05) terhadap perlakuan kontrol, dan tidak mempengaruhi mortalitas (P>0,05).
Broiler is one of the fastest and the most economist meat producer compares to other livestock. High feed prices make the farmers thinking to optimize the feed by adding liquid feed additive. The aim of this research was to understand the effect of liquid feed additive addition to broiler performance. 180 broilers (unsex) were used in this research. The broilers were chosen randomly, and then were divided into 3 groups (P0, P1, and P2). Each group were consisting of three replication with 20 broilers in each replication. The first group (P0) consists of commercial feed and water. Probiotics were added into the commercial feed in the P1 group, while liquid feed additive were added in the P2 group. Feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality were observed as dependent variables in this study. The data were analyzed using one way completely randomized design. The results showed that the addition of probiotic and liquid feed additive could increase the feed intake (P<0.05). The treatments did not affect the body weight gain (P>0.05), and the broiler mortality (P>0.05) compare to control group. The other hand, the probiotic and liquid feed additive addition were negatively impact the feed conversion ratio (P<0.05).
