Perayaan Imlek merupakan ritual adat tertua dan terpenting bagi masyarakat Tionghoa di seluruh dunia. Masyarakat Tiongkok mengenal Imlek dengan nama Chunjie, kata tersebut diartikan memasuki musim semi, maka disebut pesta musim semi. Tugas akhir ini menjelaskan perayaan tahun baru Imlek 2015 oleh masyarakat Tionghoa di Bandung. Penulisan tugas akhir ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe penulisan deskriptif. Data-data diperoleh dengan dua metode yaitu studi literatur dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini bisa disimpulkan bahwa responden mempunyai makna yang berbeda berdasarkan latar belakang budayanya masing-masing tentang perayaan tahun baru Imlek 2015 di Bandung.

Imlek (Chinese lunar new year) is an important festival for Chinese people in Indonesia, it's based on lunar calendar . Imlek is the oldest and the most important ritual of Chinese people all over the world. In Chinese language, the meaning of Imlek is chunjie his word means entering spring season, meaning Spring Festival. This final task describes the celebration of Chinese lunar new year by Chinese society in Bandung. This method used in this final task is the observation by qualitative approximation with type of descriptive writing. The database is collected by study of literature and direct interview. The result of the research can be concluded that every respondents have a different meanig in the term of this spring festival (imlek 2015) based on their own culture in Bandung.
