KAJIAN FELINE PANLEUCOPENIA RAPID TEST DAN GAMBARAN LEKOSIT KUCING SUSPECT PANLEKOPENIA

Feline panleucopenia merupakan penyakit infeksius pada kucing yang disebabkan oleh Feline panleucopenia virus, merupakan virus ss-DNA tidak beramplop. Penyakit ini sangat berbahaya pada kucing dengan rute penularan secara fekal-oral dengan gejala demam, muntah, diare, anoreksia, letargi, penurunan total lekosit dan kematian mendadak pada kejadian yang berat. Deteksi penyakit dapat dilakukan dengan melihat gejala klinis, isolasi dan identifikasi virus, pemeriksaan serologis ataupun dengan rapid test. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji diagnosa infeksi Feline panleucopenia virus dengan Anigen® FPV Ag rapid test dan gambaran lekosit kucing suspect Feline panleucopenia virus. Sebanyak 10 ekor kucing suspect feline panleucopenia diambil darahnya kemudian darah ditampung dalam tabung EDTA untuk penghitungan total lekosit dengan metode Sahli. Feses diambil untuk uji rapid test dengan Anigen® FPV Ag rapid test kit. Hasil pemeriksaan total lekosit menunjukkan semua sampel memiliki jumlah lekosit di bawah normal. Hasil pemeriksaan rapid test didapat hasil 2 sampel (20%) positif dan 8 (80%) negatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa 100% kucing yang positif rapid test mengalami penurunan total lekosit.

Panleukopenia was an infectious disease in cats caused by Feline Panleukopenia Virus, a non-enveloped ss-DNA virus. Transmission occurs via fecal-oral exposure and the typical initial signs include fever, vomite, diarrhea, anorexia, lethargy, decrease of leucocyte number and sudden death in severe case. Diagnoses done by clinical signs, virus isolation and identification, serological evaluation and rapid test. The aim of this research was to identify of Feline panleucopenia virus infection with Anigen® FPV Ag rapid test method and serological evaluation on cats suspected Feline panleucopenia virus. Ten cats suspect of feline panleucopenia were used in this research. Blood samples collected and then the blood samples put in an EDTA pot used for total leucocyte counts in Sahli methode. Feses was collected for rapid test with Anigen® FPV Ag rapid test identification. The result of total leucocyte count show that all samples having a total leucocyte below normal. Rapid test results show 2 samples (20%) were positive and 8 samples (80%) were negative. Based on the results research, it could be concluded that 100% cats with positive rapid test show leucocyte decrease.
