Fungsi Produksi budidaya rumput laut di kabupaten Kupang

Besarnya potensi kelautan dan perikanan di Kabupaten Kupang belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik, apabila dikelola secara maksimal akan memberikan peluang ekonomis yang cukup tinggi. Budidaya rumput laut merupakan salah satu usaha yang cukup penting untuk meningkatkan produksi perikanan, memperluas kesempatan kerja, meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani dan nelayan serta menjaga kelestarian sumber daya hayati. Tujuan penelitian ini:(1) untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi rumput laut petani jenis eucheuma cottoni dengan menggunakan sistem tali tunggal di Kabupaten Kupang;(2) ingin mengetahui perbedaan produksi antara petani rumput laut yang memperoleh bantuan dari Pemerintah Kabupaten Kupang dengan yang tidak memperoleh bantuan;(3) untuk mengetahui tingkat reaksi atau tingkat kepekaan faktorfaktor produksi rumput laut terhadap produksi rumput laut petani di Kabupaten Kupang. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata produksi petani rumput laut yang memperoleh bantuan sebanyak 30 responden sebesar 565,30kg dengan standar deviasi 74,97 lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan rata-rata produksi 30 orang dengan rata-rata produksi sebesar 543,43kg dengan standar deviasi 104,09. Hasil uji beda rata-rata terlihat tidak ada perbedaan produksi rumput laut antara petani yang memperoleh bantuan modal dengan yang tidak memperoleh bantuan modal diketahui bahwa nilai thitung 0,934 lebih kecil dari nilai ttabel 1,68. Hasil analisis secara simultan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,807 berarti terdapat hubungan yang erat antara variabel produksi rumput laut dengan variabel tenaga kerja, bibit rumput laut dan peralatan modal sebesar 80,7%. Hasil perhitungan tabel ANOVA diperoleh nilai Fhitung sebesar 25,67 sedangkan nilai Ftabel sebesar 2,76, karena nilai Fhitung lebih besar dari Ftabel maka dapat disimpulkan variabel tenaga kerja, bibit rumput laut dan peralatan modal berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi. Hasil analisis secara parsial variabel tenaga kerja berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi rumput laut, di mana nilai thitung 5,724 lebih besar dibandingkan dengan 1,67; variabel bibit rumput berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi rumput laut, di mana nilai thitung 2,442 lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ttabel sebesar 1,67; variabel peralatan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi rumput laut di mana nilai thitung 1,064 lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan nilai ttabel 1,67.

The great marine and fishery potentials in Kabupaten Kupang have not been well utilized lately. If they are managed maximally surely will give some high economical opportunities. The seaweed cultivation is one of many efforts, which has significant role, to increase fishery production, enhance employment, improve farmer and fisherman wealth, and also preserve biological resources. This research is aim (1) to find out what factors have influenced eucheuma cottoni seaweed production that use single rope system in Kabupaten Kupang; (2) to seek the production differences between seaweed farmers who have been granted government aid and they who haven’t been granted; (3) to know the level of reaction and sensitivity of the seaweed production factors to the seaweed production in Kabupaten Kupang. The t-test result shows that the average seaweed production from 30 farmers respondent who have been granted government aid is 565.30 kg with standard deviation 74.97. This production is higher than the production of 30 farmers respondent who have not been granted government aid with production average is 543.43 kg and the standard deviation is 104.09. There is no seaweed production differences between farmers who have been granted with financial capital and they who haven’t been granted according to the result of average difference test with ttest 0.934 smaller than ttable 1.68. The analysis result from simultaneously correlation coefficient value is 0.807, which means that there is a strong correlation between seaweed production variable with the 80.7% variable of manpower, seaweed seed and capital equipment. The ANOVA table result shows the Ftest is 25.67 and the Ftable is 2.76, because Ftest is higher than Ftable therefore it can be concluded that the variable of manpower, seaweed seed and capital equipment have a significant role. The partial analysis result of manpower variable show that it influences to seaweed production with the ttest of 5.724 higher than the ttable 1.67; the seaweed seed variable influences the seaweed production with the ttest of 2.442 higher than the ttable 1.67; and the capital equipment variable has no influence to seaweed production which the ttest of 1.064 lower than the ttable 1.67.
