Kompetensi utama Program Studi Diploma 3 Teknik Geomatika yaitu menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki kemampuan praktis dalam penentuan posisi dan survei pemetaan (Positioning and Mapping). Pembekalan kepada tiap mahasiswa untuk mencapai kompetensi tersebut diberikan melalui mata kuliah wajib seperti Ilmu Ukur Tanah, Survei Rekayasa, Pemetaan Digital dan lain sebagainya. Salah satu mata kuliah wajib penunjang kompetensi utama tersebut adalah Praktek Kerja Lapangan yang sekaligus juga untuk memberi bekal kepada mahasiswa didalam menghadapi persoalan pemetaan yang terjadi di lapangan. Pelaksanaan Praktek Kerja Lapangan dibagi menjadi dua tahap yaitu pekerjaan lapangan dan studio. Pekerjaan di lapangan berupa pengumpulan data spasial yang terdiri atas orientasi lapangan, pengukuran kerangka kontrol horizontal berupa poligon tertutup dengan jumlah 11 titik menggunakan alat Total Station, pengukuran kerangka kontrol vertikal menggunakan alat sipatdatar, pengukuran detil menggunakan metode ekstrapolasi koordinat kutub, uji peta dan proses penggambaran secara digital menggunakan Software Surpac. Pekerjaan di studio berupa pembuatan dan layouting peta menggunakan Software ArcGIS. Hasil akhir Praktek Kerja Lapangan berupa Peta Situasi dengan skala 1:500 dari Lokasi 6 yang berada di Dusun Purwosasono RT.01/RW.05, Desa Beluk, Kecamatan Bayat, Kabupaten Klaten, Provinsi Jawa Tengah yang telah memenuhi spesifikasi teknis pekerjaan. Perhitungan kerangka kontrol horinzontal telah memenuhi spesifikasi TOR. Kesalahan penutup sudut sebesar 29,67 detik telah memenuhi TOR 2k akar n yang bernilai 33,17detik dimana k merupakan ketelitian alat dan n adalah jumlah titik poligon. Ketelitian linier rangkaian poligon sebesar 1 : 99902,422. Hasil hitungan beda tinggi pergi pulang di lapangan sebesar -2mm dan tidak kebih besar dari TOR 12mm akar D yang bernilai 12,0372 mm. Peta situasi yang dihasilkan sudah dilakukan uji peta dengan presentase sample yang memenuhi TOR untuk detil planimetris sebesar 96% dan untuk detil tinggi sebesar 68%. Hal ini berarti peta situasi yang dihasilkan memiliki ketinggian yang kurang akurat. Kata kunci : Pengukuran dan pemetaan situasi

The main competency of Diploma 3 Geometrics Engineering is to produce alumnus who have good practical ability in positioning and mapping survey (Positioning and Mapping). The preparation was conducted for each student to achieve competency by giving the compulsory subjects such as Soil Science Measurement, Engineering Surveying, Digital Mapping and others. One of the compulsory subjects that supporting the main competence is the Job Training which is also used to provide enough prepration to students in facing the mapping issue that occurs in the field. Moreover, implementation of the Job Training is divided into two stages: field work and studio. Field Working in the form of spatial data collection is consisting of field orientation, which is the horizontal measurement control framework in the form of a closed polygon with the number of 11 points using a Total Station, the measurement of the vertical frame using the tool Water Pass, detailed measurement method used is the polar coordinates extrapolation method, test map and digital process representations using Surpac Software. Studios job is in the form of making and layouting maps using ArcGIS software. The final result is in the form of the Job Training is Situation Map with a scale of 1: 500 of the location 6 which is in the Purwosasono RT.01 / RW.05, Beluk Village, Bayat subdistrict, Klaten, Central Java province which has met the technical specifications of the job. Horizontal ccalculation control framework has met the specifications of TOR. The error angle cover is 29.67" has met TOR 2k source n worth 33.17" where k is a precision tool and n is the number of polygon points. The linear accuracy is 1: 99902.422. Results count height difference went back on the field for -2mm and does not significantly greater than the TOR 12mm source D worth 12.0372 mm. The resulting situation map has been tested with the percentage of samples that meet the TOR of planimetric detail by 96 % and for high detail by 68 % . This means that maps the resulting situation has a height which is less accurate .
