PAKAN, SKOR KONDISI TUBUH (SKT), DAN REPRODUKSI SAPI POTONG DI CV. ADHI FARM

2015 | Tugas Akhir | D3 KESEHATAN HEWAN SVTujuan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pakan, skor kondisi tubuh, dan reproduksi sapi potong berdasarkan data yang ada di CV. Adhi Farm Karanganyar. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan penulis dengan cara wawancara secara langsung dengan narasumber dan melakukan pengamatan di lapangan secara langsung selama berlangsungnya kegiatan Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) pada tanggal 9 sampai 14 Maret, dan pada tanggal 15 Mei 2015. Objek penelitian yang digunakan adalah sapi potong betina dengan jumlah 24 ekor. Ransum pakan yang terdiri dari katul, kulit kopi, bungkil kacang kedelai, tepung ikan, jagung, tepung mineral, dan tambahan feed additif akan menghasilkan Skor Kondisi Tubuh (SKT) ideal. Metode penentuan nilai Skor Kondisi Tubuh (SKT) sapi potong dilakukan dengan mengamati bagian tubuh sapi potong berupa tonjolan tulang pinggul depan, tonjolan tulang pinggul belakang, tulang ekor, dan rusuk sapi. Hasil pengamatan dari data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa sapi potong dengan SKT 3 ada 5 ekor, SKT 3,5 ada 17 ekor, dan SKT 4 ada 2 ekor. Skor kondisi tubuh dipengaruhi oleh pakan, endoparasit, dan indikasi penyakit-penyakit kronis tertentu. Pakan yang kualitas dan kuantitasnya bagus, pemberian obat cacing yang teratur, serta sapi tidak mengalami gejala penyakit tertentu menghasilkan sapi-sapi dengan skor kondisi tubuh ideal untuk reproduksi seperti yang ada di CV. Adhi Farm. Selain itu juga dilakukan penilaian tampilan reproduksi sapi potong meliputi usia pubertas, siklus estrus, calving interval dan service per conception. Dari 24 sapi didapatkan service per conception 2,94, conception rate (CR) 41, 67 %, dan calving interval rata-rata 18,36 atau 16 bulan 10 hari. Berdasarkan performa S/C, CR, dan CI efisiensi reproduksinya rendah, hal ini disebabkan karena faktor lain seperti terlambatnya deteksi birahi, penyapihan lebih dari 3 bulan, dan penggunaan induk crossbred. Sapi potong yang ada di CV. Adhi Farm untuk pakan dan skor kondisi tubuh sudah optimum, tapi masih ada kekurangan dalam rekording reproduksi.
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between feed, Body Condition Score (BCS), and beef cattle reproduction based on the existing data from CV. Adhi Farm Karanganyar. Data were collected by direct observation on beef cattle, and interviewed several reliable sources during fieldwork in practice on March 9 to March 14, and on May 15, 2015. The objects of the research were 24 heads of beef cattle. Ideal BCS will be produced with feed rations consisting of rice bran, coffee bean peel, soybean peels, fish meal, corn, flour minerals, and additional feed additive. The method used to determine the value of the Body Condition Score (BCS) beef cattle was done by observing the body parts form part of beef cattle hook, pin, cow tail head and ribs. The research showed that there are 5 heads of cattle with BCS 3, 17 heads of cattle with BCS 3.5, and two cattle with BCS 4. Body condition score was affected by feed, endoparasites, and indications of certain chronic diseases. Feed quality and good quantity, giving regular anthelmintic, and cattle did not experience symptoms of certain diseases produce cows with a body condition score ideal for reproduction such as those in the CV. Adhi Farm. Moreover, the study also conduct the assessment on beef cattle reproduction including the age of puberty, estrous cycle, calving interval and services per conception. From the 24 beef cattle, services per conception 2.94, conception rate 41,67%, and the average of calving interval of 18.36 or 16 months 10 days was obtained. Based on the performance of S/C, CR, and CI were low reproductive efficiency, those were due to other factors such as delays in the detection of estrus, weaning more than 3 months, and the used of crossbred. Beef cattle in CV. Adhi Farm to feed and has an optimum body condition score, but there are look of in the reproduction recording.
