HUBUNGAN IKLIM KESELAMATAN DENGAN KEPATUHAN TERHADAP PERATURAN PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI

Industri konstruksi di Indonesia memiliki peluang pertumbuhan yang baik. Hal tersebut terbukti dari pesatnya pembangunan berbagai pusat perbelanjaan, pendidikan, perumahan, dan perkantoran di kota-kota besar. Ironisnya, pesatnya perkembangan industri jasa konstruksi juga memiliki risiko kecelakaan kerja yang cukup tinggi. Perlu adanya peningkatan kesadaran dan kepatuhan para tenaga kerja konstruksi terkait dengan isu kesehatan keselamatan kerja dengan cara menciptakan iklim keselamatan yang baik. Iklim keselamatan merupakan persepsi individual terkait dengan aturan, prosedur, dan praktek lainnya yang berhubungan dengan keselamatan kerja di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara iklim keselamatan dengan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) pada pekerja konstruksi. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 75 pekerja konstruksi yang bekerja di proyek Rumas Sakit Pratama Yogyakarta. Peneliti menggunakan kuesioner iklim keselamatan dan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan penggunaan alat pelindung diri, dengan model pengukuruan Likert. Uji validitas dilakukan dengan melibatkan pihak yang berkompeten (professional judgement) untuk menganalisis kuesioner iklim keselamatan dan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD). Realibilitas alat ukur ini adalah R= 0,938 untuk iklim keselamatan, dan R= 0,932 untuk kepatuhan terhadap peraturan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), yang diujicobakan pada 35 pekerja konstruksi sebelum pengambilan data uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara iklim keselamatan dengan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan penggunaan alat pelindung diri, dengan r = 0,799, p<0,01, r 2 = 0,638 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa iklim keselamatan merupakan salah satu faktor pendorong kepatuhan terhadap peraturan penggunaan alat pelindung diri pada pekerja konstruksi dengan besar pengaruh sebesar 63,8%, meskipun hanya tiga dimensi yang secara signifikan dengan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan penggunaan alat pelindung diri, yakni dimensi praktek keselamatan atasan, dimensi sikap keselamatan, dan dimensi praktek keselamatan rekan kerja.

The construction industry in Indonesia has good growth opportunities. This is evident from the rapid development of shopping centers, education, housing, and offices in major cities. Ironically, the rapid development of construction industry also have an increased risk of workplace accidents that is high. The need for increased awareness and compliance of the construction worker about health and safety work issues by creating good safety climate. Safety climate is individual perceptions that is associated with rules, procedures, and other practices related to occupational safety in the workplace. This study aims to determine the relationship between safety climate with regulatory compliance use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in construction workers. The subject of this research were 75 construction workers that working on the project hospitalization Pratama Yogyakarta. Researchers used safety climate and compliance with the rules of use of personal protective equipment questionnaire , with a Likert pengukuruan models. Validity test is done with the involvement of the competent authorities (professional judgment) for analyzing climate questionnaire safety and compliance with the rules of use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The reliability of this measure is R = 0.938 for safety climate, and R = 0.932 for compliance with rules of use of personal protective equipment (PPE), which tested at 35 construction workers before data retrieval hypothesis testing. The results showed a significant positive correlation between safety climate with regulatory compliance use of personal protective equipment, with r = 0.799, p <0.01, r 2 = 0.638 so that it can be concluded that the safety climate is one of the factors driving the use of regulatory compliance personal protective equipment on construction worker with effect amounted to 63.8%, although only three dimensions significantly to compliance with the rules of use of personal protective equipment, which are safety practices supervisor, safety attitudes and safety practice co-workers.
