ANALISIS PENGARUH PROGRAM PEMAGANGAN MEKANIK ALAT BERAT TERHADAP KINERJA DIVISI PLANT PT BORNEO ALAM SEMESTA

Penurunan harga batubara dunia berimbas kepada lesunya industri pertambangan batubara di Indonesia. Untuk mampu bertahan dalam kondisi sulit ini, perusahaan dituntut untuk meningkatkan keunggulan daya saingnya. Dalam upaya untuk mempertahankan keunggulan daya saing, PT Borneo Alam Semesta menyelenggarakan program pemagangan mekanik alat berat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang diharapkan akan berimbas kepada terjadinya peningkatan kinerja serta kualitas mekanik yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan keunggulan daya saing perusahaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melakukan analisa pengaruh program pemagangan mekanik alat berat terhadap kinerja Divisi Plant yang diwakili oleh indikator Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) serta Mechanical Availaibity (MA). Tujuan lain dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan identifikasi terhadap faktor-faktor lain di luar peserta magang yang berpengaruh terhadap ketiga indikator tersebut di atas.

The declining of the coal price gave an impact to the slowing down of the coal mining industry in Indonesia. To be able to survive in these difficult conditions, the company was expected to increase their competitive advantages. As one of strategy to maintain their competitive advantages, PT Borneo Alam Semesta organizes the heavy equipment mechanic apprenticeship program to improve the quality of human resources. The purpose of the program was to give an impact on the improvement of performance and mechanical quality. Furthermore, this program could escalate the competitive advantage of the company. This study was conducted to analyze the impact of heavy equipment mechanic apprenticeship program to the performance of Plant Division represented by the Mean Time To Repair indicator (MTTR), Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) and Mechanical Availability (MA). Another purpose of this study was to identify the factors other than apprentices which gave an impact to the three indicators mentioned above.
