PEMETAAN KARAKTERISTIK KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF PADA ANAK ADHD DENGAN WISC III

Prevalensi Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) berdasarkan data dari WHO (2005), terdapat ± 7-10% anak berkebutuhan khusus dari total populasi anak di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kemampuan kognitif anak ADHD dengan inatensi, hiperaktifitas dan/atau impulsifitas, dan tipe kombinasi diukur berdasarkan 10 subtes WISC III (Informasi, Pemahaman, Persamaan, Berhitung, Rentang angka, Melengkapi gambar, Mengatur gambar, Rancang balok, Merakit objek, dan Simbol). Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 125 anak usia sekolah dasar dengan ADHD yang digolongkan berdasarkan karakteristik DSM IV-TR oleh psikolog klinis anak. Hasil penelitian adalah karakteristik kemampuan kognitif anak dengan inatensi dapat diprediksi oleh subtes informasi, pemahaman, rentang angka, mengatur gambar, dan merakit objek. Karakteristik kemampuan kognitif anak dengan hiperaktivitas dan/atau impulsivitas dapat diprediksi oleh subtes pemahaman, rentang angka, melengkapi gambar, mengatur gambar, merakit objek, dan simbol. Karakteristik kemampuan kognitif anak dengan tipe kombinasi dapat diprediksi oleh subtes informasi, pemahaman, persamaan, rentang angka, merakit objek, dan simbol.

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is known as the first children and adolescents problem internationally. According to data from WHO (2005), there are ± 7- 10% of children with special needs of the total child population in the world. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the cognitive abilities of children with ADHD with inattention, hyperactivity and/or impulsivity, and the type of combination reviewed by the 10 subtests WISC III (Information, Comprehension, Similarity, Arithmetic, Digit Span, Picture Completion, Picture Arrangement, Block Design, Object Assembley, and Coding). Participants in this study are 125 children (in primary school age) who have been diagnosed with ADHD and are classified by DSM IV-TR by clinical child psychologist. The results of this study are cognitive abilities of children with inattention can be predicted by subtest of information, comprehension, digit span, picture arrangement, and object assembley. While the cognitive abilities of children with hyperactivity-impulsivity can be predicted by subtes of comprehension, digit span, picture completion, picture arrangement, object assembley, and coding. Cognitive abilities of children with type combinations can be predicted by subtes Information, Comprehension, Similarity, Digit Span, Object Assembley, and Coding.
