Identifikasi sektor unggulan di Kota Surakarta Jawa Tengah periode 1993-2000

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sektor unggulan untuk dikembangkan di dalam sistem pewkonomian Kota Surakarta Propinsi Jawa Tengah periode 1993-2000. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis perubahan struktur ekonomi Kota Surakarta dibandingkan dengan Propinsi Jawa Tengah serta mengetahui pola struktur pertumbuhan ekonomi Kota Surakarta. Data yang digunakan dalam petinelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Kota Surakarta dan Propinsi Jawa Tengah atas dasar harga konstan 1993 periode 1993-2000 yang diperoleh dari Kantor Statistik Kota Surakarta dan Propinsi Jawa Tengah. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Tipologi Klassen, Location Quotient (LQ) dan Shiff-Share. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengamatan laju pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pendapatan per kapita Kota Surakarta lebih tinggi daripada Propinsi Jawa Tengah sehingga diklasifikasikan sebagai daerah maju dan tumbuh cepat. Sektor ekonomi unggulan yaitu sektor Bangunan; Keuangan, Persewaan dan Jasa Perusahaan; Pengangkutan dan Komunikasi; Jasa-Jasa; dan Listrik, Gas dan Air Bersih. Selama periode pengamatan telah terjadi perubahan struktur ekonomi di Kota Surakarta berupa kenaikan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB).

The objective of this study is to identify superior economic to develop in the economic system of Kota Sbrakarta and Central Java Province in the period 1993-2000. This study also analysis the changing of the economic structure and identifies the pattern and structure of the economic growth of Kota Surakarta. Data used in study is the secondary data of Brutto Regional Domestic Product (BRDP) of Kota Surakarta and Central Java Province on the basis of constant price in 1993 in the period of 1993-2000, obtained from the Statistics Centre of Kota Surakarta and Central Java Province. The analysis methods applied in this reseach are Klassen Typology, Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift-Share. The result of the study shows that the average economic growth rate and the per kapita income of Kota Surakarta was higher than that of the Central Java level so that its typology was classified as rapid growth region. Superior economic sectors in Kota Surakarta are Construction; Financia1,Ownership and Business Services; Transport and Communication; Service and Electricyty, Gas and Water Supply. The economic structure of Kota Surakarta also change that the Brutto Regional Domestic Product (BRDP) increase in the period of 1993-2000.
