ANALISA PERFORMA AYAM BROILER YANG DIINFEKSI OLEH Aspergillus fumigatus

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa ayam yang diinfeksi oleh Aspergillus fumigatus. Performa ayam dievaluasi dari feed conversion ratio (FCR) dan jumlah kematian ayam. Feed convertion ratio dihitung setiap minggu sampai 30 hari. Ayam yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 ekor dibagi menjadi dua kelompok perlakuan, setiap kelompok terdiri dari 20 ekor day old chick (DOC). Kelompok I diinfeksi dengan suspensi fungi Aspergillus fumigatus 0,05 ml secara intra-airsac, kelompok II diinjeksi dengan aquades 0,05 ml secara intra-airsac. Nilai FCR dihitung dengan cara membandingkan jumlah total pakan yang dikonsumsi dengan pertambahan berat badan. Hasil penelitian nilai FCR setiap minggu sampai hari ke- 30 secara berturut-turut pada kelompok I adalah 0,980, 1,543, 1,849, 2,274 dan pada kelompok II adalah 0,972, 1,489, 1,754, 2,218. Jumlah ayam yang hidup pada kelompok I adalah 9 ekor dan pada kelompok II tersisa 18 ekor. Feed convertion ratio dan jumlah kematian ayam pada kelompok yang diinfeksi oleh Aspergillus fumigatus lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok ayam yang tidak diinfeksi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa aspergillosis menimbulkan kerugian finansial yang cukup tinggi.

The purpose of this research was to analysis performance of chicken infected by Aspergillus fumigatus. The performance were evaluated from feed convertion ratio (FCR) and mortality of chicken. In this research FCR were calculated every week until 30 days. This research used 40 day old chicks (DOC) and divided in two groups of treatment, each group consisted of 20 chickens. Group I was infected by 0,05 ml suspention of Aspergillus fumigatus and group II by 0,05 ml aqudes via intra-airsac. Feed convertion ratio values were calculated by comparing the total amount of feed consumed with weight gain. The result of research showed that the value of FCR on group I were 0,980, 1,543, 1,849, 2,274 and group II 0,972, 1,489, 1,754, 2,218. In the end of research, the number of live chickens in group I were 9 chickens and group II were 18 chickens. Feed convertion ratio and total mortality of chicken infected by Aspergillus fumigatus is higher than the group of uninfected chickens. Based on the result concluded that aspergillosis cause high financial losses.
