EFEKTIFITAS TERBINAFIN PADA BROILER YANG DIINFEKSI Aspergillus fumigatus

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektifitas terbinafin untuk terapi aspergillosis pada ayam yang diinfeksi A. fumigatus. Penelitian ini menggunakan 40 ekor ayam yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok. Semua ayam diinfeksi A. fumigatus 0,05 ml intra air sac. Kelompok 1 tidak diobati dan kelompok 2 diobati terbinafin oral dengan dosis 10 mg/kg berat badan. Perkembangan penyakit diamati setiap hari selama 30 hari. Pengamatan gambaran darah dilakukan sebelum pengobatan dan hari 12 setelah pengobatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok 1 teramati gejala aspergillosis sampai hari ke 30 sedangkan kelompok 2 gejala aspergillosis terutama gejala pernafasan hilang setelah pengobatan. Jumlah kematian pada kelompok 1 adalah 13 ekor sedangkan kelompok 2 adalah 9 ekor. Leukositosis ditemukan pada ayam yang diinfeksi A. fumigatus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terbinafin dapat menjadi pilihan antifungal dalam terapi aspergillosis.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of terbinafin in the treatment of aspergillosis in chicken infected by A. fumigatus. This study used 40 chickens, divided into 2 groups. All the chickens infected with A. fumigatus 0.05 ml via intra sac. Group 1 was untreated and group 2 was treated with terbinafin by orally with dose of 10 mg/kg body weight. Progression of the disease were observed daily for 30 days. Observations blood profile carried before treatment and 12 days after treatment. The results revealed that the group 1 showed symptoms of aspergillosis until day 30 while group 2 the symptoms of aspergillosis, mainly respiratory symptoms, disappeared after treatment. Mortality of the chicken in group 1 were 13 while group 2 were 9 chicken. Leukocytosis found in chickens infected by A. fumigatus. Based on the results of this study concluded that terbinafin may be an option antifungal therapy in aspergillosis.
