Identifikasi sektor ekonomi unggulan Propinsi Bengkulu tahun 1994-2000

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sektor-sektor ekonomi unggulan yang dapat dijadikan basis pembangunan ekonomi di Propinsi Bengkulu. Di samping itu, penelitian ini juga untuk menentukan besarnya pengaru h sektor unggulan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Propinsi Bengkulu, serta sektor-sektor yang mempengaruhi struktur ekonomi dan pergeserannya di Propinsi Bengkulu. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang terdiri atas data Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Propinsi Bengkulu dan data Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) Indonesia tahun 1994 - 2000. Data tersebut diperoleh dari Kantor Statistik Propinsi Bengkulu dan literatur Statistik Indonesia 2000. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif yaitu Location Quotient, Shift-Share dan Model Rasio Pertumbuhan, untuk menentukan sektor unggulan, Impact Multipliers, untuk melihat pengaruh sektor unggulan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan Tipologi Klassen untuk melihat kinerja perekonomian Propinsi Bengkulu dibandingkan dengan kinerja perekonomian nasional. Hasil penelitan ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor ekonomi yang dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai sektor unggulan adalah sektor pertanian, sektor perdagangan, sektor jasa-jasa dan sektor pengangkutan. Perkembangan sektor-sektor unggulan tersebut sangat besar pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Propinsi Berigkulu secara keseluruhan. Kinerja perekonomian Propinsi Bengkulu bila dibandingkan dengan kinerja perekonomian nasional tergolong , pada pendapatan rendah dan pertumbuhan tinggi, yang berarti pertumbuhan ekonomi Propinsi Bengkulu belum mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan rnasyarakat di propinsi ini.

The research attempts to identify the economic sectors witch can be the basic for the economic development in the Bengkulu Province, this research also to measures how the basic sector will affect to the economic growth in Bengkulu Province, and the sector witch affect to the economic structure and its shift in this province. The data that used in this research are consisting of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Bengkulu Province, and Indonesian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for period of 1994 - 2000. The data obtained from Province Statistic Office of Bengkulu and literature of the Indonesian Statistic 2000. The analysis methods applied in this research are quantitative analysis like Location Quotient, Shift-Share, and Regional Growth Ratio, to determine the advantage sectors, Impact Multipliers, to view how advantage sectors will affect to the economic growth, and Klassen typology to view comparison between economic performing of Bengkulu Province and national economic performance. The result of this research indicate that the economic sectors which having classified to the advantage sectors are agriculture sector, trade, hotel and restaurant sector, services sector, and transport and communication sector. The growth of that advantage sectors generally were made the strongly effect for the economic growth of Bengkulu Province. Comparison between economic performing of Bengkulu Province with National economic performance was classified that low income and high growth, it means that the economic growth of Bengkulu Province had not been increased the welfare of peoples in Bengkulu Province.
