KONSEP PENGEMBANGAN DESTINASI EKOWISATA DI PANTAI NGLAMBOR, DESA PURWODADI, KECAMATAN TEPUS, KABUPATEN GUNUNGKIDUL

Pantai Nglambor merupakan salah satu pantai yang terletak di Desa Purwodadi, Kecamatan Tepus, Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Pantai Nglambor ini belum dikembangkan menjadi sebuah destinasi wisata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui potensi wisata yang terdapat di Pantai Nglambor, (2) menganalisis kondisi Pantai Nglambor sesuai dengan pendekatan sistem pariwisata dan (3) menentukan konsep pengembangan destinasi wisata di Pantai Nglambor sesuai dengan prinsip ekowisata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitiatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan pengambilan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan di Pantai Nglambor didapatkan bahwa: (1) Pantai Nglambor memiliki berbagai potensi alam dan budaya yang menarik untuk menjadi sebuah atraksi wisata, (2) kondisi Pantai Nglambor dilihat dari komponen permintaan, perjalanan, destinasi wisata, dan pemasaran sangat memungkinkan untuk dikembangkan menjadi destinasi wisata berbasis ekowisata, dan (3) prinsip yang akan digunakan untuk pengembangan destinasi wisata ekowisata di Pantai Nglambor ini adalah prinsip konservasi, edukasi, ekonomi, dan partisipasi masyarakat.

Nglambor Beach is located in the Village of Purwodadi, Tepus Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency. Nglambor Beach has not been developed to be a tourist destination. The aims of this research are (1) to discover the tourism potential of Nglambor Beach, (2) to analyze Nglambor Beach condition based on tourist system approach and (3) to decide the development concept of tourist destination of Nglambor Beach based on ecotourism principle. This research is a qualitative research by using descriptive analysis method. The data collection has been done by applying observation technique, interview, library study and documentation collection. Based on the research that has been done towards Nglambor Beach, there are some findings: (1) Nglambor Beach has a lot of nature potential and interesting culture to be a tourist atraction, (2) the condition of Nglambor Beach according to the component of demand, travel, tourist destination and marketing, is possible to develop the beach into tourist destination in the basis of ecotourism and (3) the principles of conservation, education, economic and society participation will be applied for the development of tourist destination of ecotourism.
