Variasi Morfologis Ular Tampar Jawa Dendrelaphis pictus (Gmelin, 1728) Sensu Stricto Populasi Pulau Sumatra, Jawa, Sulawesi dan Nusa Tenggara Barat

Ular Tampar Jawa (Dendrelaphis pictus) merupakan salah satu ular yang distribusinya luas meliputi Indonesia bagian barat hingga timur. Data variasi morfologis pada D. pictus antarpulau di Indonesia belum tersedia.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu didapatkannya data variasi morfologis meliputi morfologi, meristik, dan morfometri pada D. pictus populasi pulau Sumatra, Jawa, Sulawesi dan Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan menjadi 2 tahapan: pengambilan dan pendataan karakter morfologis spesimen D. pictus locality Sungai Opak, D.I. Yogyakarta pada bulan Juni - September 2013; pendataan karakter morfologis spesimen D. pictus berbagai locality koleksi Pusat Penelitian Biologi - LIPI pada bulan Agustus - September 2014. Karakter morfologis yang digunakan yaitu: 7 karakter morfometri, 20 karakter meristik, 10 karakter morfologi,dan 6 karakter derived. Pengambilan data karakter morfologi dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan morfologi tubuh ular yang dikuantifikasi. Pengambilan data karakter meristik dilakukan dengan cara menghitung jumlah sisik pada sampel. Pengambilan data karakter morfometri dilakukan dengan mengukur bagian tubuh ular dan menjadi karakter derived sebagai standardisasi perbedaan ukuran antarsampel yang digunakan. Data morfologis dimasukkan dalam Microsoft Excel 2007. Data dianalisis dengan software MVSP ver 3.22 dan hasil yang ditampilkan berupa table nilai variable loading serta grafik scatter plot. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu karakter morfologis yang dapat digunakan sebagai karakter diagnostik D. pictus yaitu: adanya garis putih/kuning di ventrolateral yang diapit oleh garis hitam, umumnya 4 sisik infralabial yang menyentuh sisik sublabial pertama, dan jumlah sisik ventral yaitu152 - 193 sisik (umumnya pada spesimen 160 - 170 sisik). Belum ada variasi karakter morfologis pada populasi Dendrelaphis pictus sensu stricto di Pulau Sumatera, Jawa, Sulawesi dan Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Painted Bronzeback (Dendrelaphis pictus) snake is one of the snake which it distribution is wide, it is extends from western to eastern Indonesia. Morphological variation data of D. pictus among islands in Indonesia has not been provided. The objective of this research is to obtain morphological variation data comprise of morphology, meristic, and morphometry of D. pictus fromSumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and Nusa Tenggara Barat population. The research was conducted in 2 stages: faunal sampling and data collection of morphological characters specimens from Sungai Opak, D. I. Yogyakarta locality in June - September 2013; data collection of morphological characters specimens from some localities, collection of the Research for Center of Biology - LIPI in August - September 2014. Morphological characters used are: 7 morphometry characters, 20 meristic characters, 10 morphology characters, and 6 derived characters. Morphological characters data was taken by describing snake morphology that quantified. Meristic characters data was taken by counting total scales of samples. Morphometry characters data was taken by measuring part of snake body and there were derived characters as standardization of intersample size dissimilarities. Morphological data was put into Microsoft Excel 2007. Data were analyzed by MVSP ver 3.22 software and the results were value table of variable loading and scatter plot graphics. The result that obtained was morphological charaters that used as diagnostic characters of D. pictus i. e.: white/yellow line in ventrolateral that flanked by black line, usually 4 infralabial scales touch the first sublabial scale, and the total of ventral scale 152 - 193 scales (common in specimen is 160 - 170 scales). There has not been variation in morphological characters of D.pictus sensu stricto of Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and Nusa Tenggara Barat population.
