Jalan adalah sarana transportasi darat yang sangat penting dalam memperlancar laju pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu daerah, Seperti ruas jalan Bandung - Ngawu Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Karena tidak terdapat system drainase, maka air sering menggenangi permukaan aspal sehingga melepas molekul yang mengikat antara aspal dengan agregat yang mengakibatkan jalan aspal rusak. Sehingga harus dilakukan pemeliharaan lapis penetrasi, dan aspal dua lapis yang bertujuan untuk memperlancar arus lalu lintas . Dari analisa perhitungan didapat dari sisi biaya menunjukkan pekerjaan harga aspal penetrasi lebih murah dari harga pekerjaan paving block. Namun dari segi fungsi paving block mempunyai banyak fungsi. Berdasarkan hasil pekerjaan pemeliharaan diatas, ruas jalan dan arus lalu lintas di Bandung - Ngawu Kabupaten Gunungkidul telah kembali normal dan lancar.

The maintenance should be done so that the layer of penetration, and two layer of asphalt which aims to the flow of traffic. Analysis of calculations derived from the cost price of the asphalt work shows the penetration of cheaper price of work paving block. But in terms of function block paving has many functions. Based on the result of the above maintenance works, roads and traffic flow in the road Bandung - Ngawu in Gunungkidul Regency has returned to normal and uneventful.
