Identifikasi sektor unggulan dalam pembangunan ekonomi Kabupaten Pekalongan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sektor unggulan, menggambarkan pole pertumbuhan, dan menggambarkan struktur ekonomi Kabupaten Pekalongan. Data yang digunakan adalah data PDRB dan jumlah penduduk Kabupaten Pekalongan dan Propinsi Jawa Tengah, selama periode 1990-1999. Alat analisis yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi sektor unggulan adalah Location Quotient, Dynamic Location Quotient, Shift-Share Klasik, Shift-Share Modifikasi Estaban-Marquillas, dan Shift-Share Modifikasi Arcelus. Analisis Tipologi Kiassen digunakan untuk menggambarkan pola pertumbuhan wilayah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sektor unggulan di Kabupaten Pekalongan adalah sektor jasa-jasa; sektor keuangan, persewaan, dan jasa perusahaan; sektor bangunan; sektor industri pengolahan; sektor listrik, gas dan air minum. Dilihat dari nisi pole pertumbuhannya, Kabupaten Pekalongan termasuk daerah relatif tertinggal dibandingkan dengan Propinsi Jawa Tengah. Struktur ekonomi Kabupaten Pekalongan selama periode ini, sebagai kontributor PDRB terbesar adalah sektor tersier, kedua adalah sektor sekunder, den sektor primer merupakan kontributor terkecil.

This study attemps to identify the advantage economic sector, to discribe the growth pattern and the economic structure of Pekalongan Regency. The data used in this research are Gross Regional Domestic Product and the population of Pekalongan Regency as well as the Province of Central Java during the period of 1990 — 1999. The analytical tools used to identify the advantage economic sector are Location Quotient, Dynamic Location Quotient, Classical Shift-Share, Modified Shift-Share of Estaban-Marquillas, and Modified Shift-Share of Arcellus. The analytical of Klassen Typologi used to discribe the pattern of area growth. The result of this study indicates that the advantage economic sectors of Pekalongan Regency are sector of services, financial, and ownership; business servises sector; construction sector; manufacturing industry sector; electricity, gas and water supply. From the pattern of growth side, Pekalongan Regency can be categorized under developed area, compared to the Province of Central Java. The economic structure of Pekalongan Regency during this period, as the biggest contribitor of Gross Domestic Regional Bruto is tertiary sector, secundary sector is the second, and primary sector is the least.
