Kontestasi Paradigma Antara Mitos dan Logos di dalam Novel : Sebuah Proses Transkulturasi dan Dialog Kebudayaan Analisis Magical Realism atas Les yeux baissés Karya Tahar Ben Jelloun

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk meninjau bagaimana kontestasi paradigma naratif, dialog kabudayaan dan proses transkulturalisme berlangsung dalam novel. Dalam penelitian digunakan novel Les yeux baissés (1991) karya Tahar Ben Jelloun sebagai sampel penelitian. Tahar Ben Jelloun, sebagai seorang pengarang imigran, yang menulis dalam bahasa Prancis, dan hidup serta mendapatkan fasilitas-fasilitas dari pemerintah Prancis, tampak lebih berpihak kepada budaya Prancis dibandingkan kepada budaya Maroko sebagai budaya aslinya. Hal tersebut tampak pada tigkatan cerita novel dan menyebabkan karya yang ditulisnya lebih diapresiasi oleh pembaca Prancis dibanding oleh pembaca Maroko. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karya tersebut berhasil mengungkapkan bahwa melalui novel, sebuah dialog kebudayaan dan proses transkulturalisme antara budaya Prancis dan budaya Maroko dapat berlangsung. Demikian pula dengan menggunakan teori magical realism, tampak bahwa di dalam novel terjadi sebuah kontestasi paradigma antara model naratif realis yang mendasarkan dirinya pada paradigma saintifik empirik, dan menyatakan bahwa dirinya merupakan satu-satunya paradigma yang sah dalam produksi sastra dan seni pada umumnya, telah berhasil dipaksa oleh teknik naratif magical realism, untuk meletakkan dirinya secara sejajar dengan model naratif magis, tanpa salah satunya dapat mengungguli yang lainnya.

The aim of this research is to study the paradigms contestation and cultural dialog and transculturalism process in the novel. Using the novel Les yeux baissés (1991) by Tahar Ben Jelloun, a marocan born writer, as sample of the ressearch, through the analyse of magical realism theory, the result shows that through his work the author has succeeded to participate actively in the process of cultural dialog and transculturalism process between his native culture and the French culture. Allso by using the narrative technique based on magical realism paradigm, he succeeded to contest the realism paradigm which based on the empirical scientific way of thinking who before claimed to be the only valid paradigm in the litteary world and art creation. These two differents paradigms were forced to be used together in the creation process of the novel, without any of them could claim being more valid then the other. Unfortunatly, Ben Jelloun who is a marocan immigrant, writes using French language, living, and provide some beneficial facilities from the french government, seems to be hegemonised by the french’s institutional apparatuses. This can be seen, on the level of the story of the novel, he is more favorable to the French cultural side, then his own. Thus, makes his works is appreciated more by the french readers then his own marocans, where he belongs.
