Soybean is one of important leguminous plants in Indonesian. Promising genotypes should be tested in a variety of environments due to their inconsistent performance. A high yielding and stable genotype is likely to give high yields any environmental. The present study was to analyze genotype x environment interaction in soybean multilocation trial, to identify which genotypes are stable or specific locations in both rainy and dry seasons. Sixteen promising soybean lines developed by Indonesian Legume and Tuber Crop Research Institute: Panderman, Kaba, Seulawah, Grobogan, Tidar, Sinabung, Argopuro, Malabar, Dieng, Lbewok, Petek, Ratai, UML11, UML12, Aochiw62, SHRW60 were evaluated during rainy season Banguntapan and Jambegede, and the dry season in Jambegede and Muneng, from June 2008 February 2009. At each site, the trial was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design with four blocks as replication. Plot size of 1,6m x 4,5m was used. Records were made on seed weight per plot, plant height, node number, flowering date, branch number, pod number, harvesting date, seed weight per plant. Combined AMMI analysis showed that environment accounted for the largest portion of variation, and genotype x environment interaction was detected for all traits. The Biplot shows that genotypes classified as stable were Tidar and SHRW62. Location specifiec genotypes were Petek for Banguntapan, Argopuro for Jambegede in the rainy season, UML12 for Jambegede and Lbewok for Muneng in the dry season.
