ANALISIS AKUISISI BLOK OFFSHORE NORTH WEST JAVA DAN BLOK WEST MADURA OFFSHORE OLEH PERTAMINA HULU: APLIKASI PENDEKATAN PARENTING ADVANTAGE

Sebuah perusahaan korporat memiliki tantangan dalam membuat nilai bisnis unit lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kompetitor yang memiliki bisnis yang sama. Tantangan untuk membuat nilai lebih terhadap bisnis unit itu disebut parenting advantage. Untuk dapat membuat nilai tambah pada unit bisnis diperlukan suatu kerangka yang disebut dengan Corporate parenting framework (Campbell, Goold, & Alexander, 1995). Di dalam analisis Corporate parenting framework digunakan analisis terstruktur yang terdiri dari empat komponen utama, yaitu critical sucess factor, parenting opportuities, parenting characteristic, dan parenting fits matrix untuk kemudian dianalisis dalam lima kategori yaitu heartland business, edge-of-hearth land business, ballast business, alien territory, dan value trap. Setiap kategori memiliki implikasi strategi yang berbeda bagi perkembangan korporasi di masa mendatang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil 2 unit bisnis Pertamina Hulu Energi yaitu blok Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java dan blok Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengindentifikasi tiga faktor yaitu critical sucess factor, parenting opportunities dan parenting characteristic. Dari hasil identifikasi selanjutnya dilakukan analisis tingkat kesesuaian antara critical sucess factor dengan parenting characteristic dan kesesuaian antara parenting opportunity dengan parenting characteristic. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa blok Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java berada di posisi edge-of-heart land, hal ini menunjukan terdapat beberapa faktor yang memiliki tingkat kesesuian yang tinggi dan ada beberapa yang lain memiliki kesesuaian yang kurang tinggi. Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore berada di posisi heart land, hasil ini menunujukkan bahwa blok Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore memiliki tingkat kesesuaian yang tinggi dengan karakterktik perusahaan korporat.

Corporate companies have challenges in making unit businessto have better value compared to competitors that have the same business. The challenge to create more value to unit businessis called parenting advantage. To be able to make the necessary added value of other companies, a framework called Corporate parenting framework can be used (Campbell, Goold, & Alexander, 1995). Corporate parenting in the analysis of structured analytical framework used consists of four major components, namely the critical sucess factor, parentingopportunities, parenting characteristic and parenting fits matrix and then analyzed in five categories: heartland business, edge-of-hearth land business, ballast business, alien territory, and value trap. Each category has a different strategy implications for future corporate development. The study was conducted by taking two samples of business units of sPertamina Hulu Energi namely Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java block and Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore block. The study was conducted by identifying three critical sucess factors, parenting opportunities and parenting characteristic. From the identification results then analyzed the level of fitness between the critical sucess factor ofparenting characteristic and fit between parenting opportunity and parenting characteristic. The results showed that the Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java is in edge-of-heart land position, it is revealed that there are several factors that have a high degree of fitness and there are a few others have a less high suitability. Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore blockis in the position of heart land, these results show that Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore blockhas a high level of concordance with corporate company’s characteristics.
