ADSORPSI DAN DESORPSI METILEN BIRU PADA FILM POLI ELEKTROLIT KOMPLEKS KITOSAN-PEKTIN TERTAUT SILANG POLIETILEN GLIKOL DIGLISIDIL ETER

2015 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu KimiaTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang adsorpsi dan desorpsi metilen biru pada film PEC kitosan-pektin tertaut silang polietilen glikol diglisidil eter (PEGDE). Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan agen taut silang PEGDE terhadap ketahanan film PEC kiotsan-pektin pada medium asam, serta pengaruhnya terhadap adsorpsi-desorpsi metilen biru. Film PEC kitosan-pektin tertaut silang PEGDE dibuat dengan melarutkan pektin dalam akuabides dan kitosan dalam pelarut asam serta pada bagian akhir ditambahkan PEGDE. Campuran kitosan-pektin-PEGDE kemudian diuapkan pada suhu 70 derajat Celsius dan dikarakterisasi menggunakan FTIR, SEM, kekuatan mekanik, penyerapan air dan keasaman medium. Dipelajari juga pengaruh waktu, pH, konsentrasi awal metilen biru, kinetika adsorpsi-desropsi, dan isoterm adsorpsi. Hasil karakterisasi FTIR film PEC kitosan-pektin tertaut silang PEGDE menunjukkan adanya serapan tajam pada daerah 1604 cm pangkat minus 1 yang merupakan karakteristik dari PEC kitosan-pektin. Film PEC kitosan-pektin tertaut silang PEGDE stabil pada pH 3-14. Agen taut silang PEGDE dapat meningkatankan kemampuan film PEC kitosan-pektin untuk mengadsorpsi metilen biru. Adsorpsi maksimum film PEC kitosan-pektin tertaut silang PEGDE adalah 365,32 mg g pangkat minus 1 dengan desorpsi sebesar 66,67 persen dalam larutan NaCl 1 mol L pangkat minus 1. Kinetika adsorpsi dan desorpsi metilen biru mengikuti kinetika orde dua semu terhadap biosorben serta isoterm adsorpsi mengikuti isoterm Langmuir.
A research on the adsorption and desorption of methylene blue on PEC chitosan-pectin film cross-linked polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (PEGDE) has been conducted. The study was conducted to determine the effect of cross-link agent PEGDE on PEC Chitosan-pectin film against resilience in acidic medium and its influence on the adsorption-desorption of methylene blue. PEC chitosan-pectin film cross-linked PEGDE prepared by dissolving the pectin in water and chitosan in acid. Both solution was mixture and then added PEGDE. A mixture of chitosan-pectin-PEGDE was then evaporated at 70 degrees Celsius and characteriz used FTIR, SEM, mechanical strength, water absorption and medium acidity. The effect of contact time, pH, initial concentration of methylene blue, the kinetics of the adsorption-desorption, and the adsorption isotherm, also studied. The results of FTIR characterization PEC chitosan-pectin film cross-linked PEGDE showed a sharp absorption at 1604 cm to the power of minus one that was characteristic of PEC chitosan-pectin. PEC chitosan-pectin film cross-linked PEGDE was stable at pH 3-14. Cross-link agent PEGDE could improve the ability of PEC chitosan-pectin film to adsorb methylene blue. Maximum adsorption of PEC chitosan-pectin film cross-linked PEGDE was 365.32 mg g to the power of minus one with desorption 66.67 percen in NaCl 1 mol L to the power of minus one. Kinetics of adsorption and desorption of methylene blue followed pseudo-second order kinetics toward the biosorbent and the adsorption isotherm followed the Langmuir isotherm.
