Electrical energy service quality in a buildings is determined by four main parameters, namely: continuity service, safety, stability parameter and efficiency. Monitoring of electrical energy parameters, such as voltage, current, active power, reactive power, power factor, and frequency must be done to ensure quality of service for users of electrical energy. Energy management should be done to support decision making regarding energy efficiency and cost, especially for commercial buildings. Such efforts are often referred to as demand-side management. This research aims to develop SCADA applications (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) that as a measurement system capable of real-time monitoring of electrical parameters on commercial buildings electrical system. This researchers will use Distributive System Control (DSC) module, which is one of the application modules of LabView software from National Instruments products. Type 810 Power Meter operates as a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), while a computer server performs as the Master Terminal Unit (MTU). On the server computer, LabView software application and Citadel database will be installed. Citadel database will keep records of the data acquired from the type 810 Power Meter thus accessible to view the recorded data. The acquisition of real time data will be displayed on the front panel of Labview. The data acquisition process will use a Wireless LAN with flexibility considerations. The results showed that the system successfully implemented for monitoring of electrical parameters on commercial buildings electrical system. The results show the value of the similar reading as the reading on the PM 810 Power Meter. Reading parameters of current, voltage, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, harmonic currents and voltages as well as the use of electrical energy can be acquired effectively.
