Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit: Sebuah Studi untuk Dikembangkan di Libya

The quality of health services in Libya today is still far from adequate. Various attempts have been taken by the government to address this issue. One determinant of both the poor quality of health care administration is the system used to support this. In this study, some hypotheses proposed with main purposed to determine whether the development of hospital information system is something that necessity or not. This study also recommends solution to solve the problem. To prove the hypotheses, questionnaires was distributed to several hospitals in the city of Sabha. Thus the questionnaires data from 54 respondents tested using Chi-Square test utilizing SPSS version 15. The test was performed by determining the relation between respondents in a various level of jobs with the experiences of respondents in using the current system and their opinion about the development of a new system. The test result stated that the current application or system still far from the respondents expectation. The test result also showed that the hypotheses which stated that the development of a new system is necessity and something that urgent accepted. In this study also recommended OpenMRS as a solution for the development of a hospital information system that can be applied in Libya. Results of the review showed that the various advantages possessed by OpenMRS can answer a variety of problems that occur on systems running today. However, to implement OpenMRS as a solution, many things need to be prepared so that the implementation process can be run as expected. Keywords : Hospital Information System, OpenMRS, Chi-square.
