Profil Fluktuasi Status Besi Bayi Baru Lahir di RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Berdasarkan Berbagai Faktor Resiko

Latar belakang : Defisiensi besi merupakan masalah nutrisional yang paling banyak di dunia. Defisiensi besi pada awal kehidupan dapat menyebabkan gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Jika keadaan defisiensi besi dapat diketahui sejak awal kehidupan diharapkan dapat dilakukan intervensi untuk mengatasinya. Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengetahui status besi bayi baru lahir di RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Hasil Penelitian : Didapatkan subjek sejumlah 260 bayi baru lahir. Rerata feritin serum dan saturasi transferin berturut-turut adalah: bayi laki-laki(51%) 152,80(19,97-473,58)mcg/L dan 66(27-122)mcg/dL, perempuan(49%) 169,775(32,46-478,71)mcg/L dan 71,5(24-154) mcg/dL; bayi usia gestasi <40 minggu(48,50%) 150,995(21,31-473,58) dan 72(24-127)mcg/dL, >40 minggu(51,50%) dan 170,28(19,87-471,73) 65,5(27-122)mcg/dL; bayi lahir spontan(70,40%) dan 164,95(21,31-478,71)mcg/L 69(27-122)mcg/dL, lahir sc(29,60%) 142,62(19,87-471,73)mcg/L dan 69(24-10)mcg/dL; BBLR(2,70%) 135,89(52,68-401,47)mcg/L dan 66(27-127)mcg/dL, BBLN(97,30%) 161,04(19,87-478,71)mcg/L dan 71,5(24-154)mcg/dL; bayi dari ibu berusia <=35 tahun(82,30%) 162,59(19,87-478,71)mcg/L dan 69(24-127)mcg/dL, >35 tahun(17,70%) 147,59(50,41-348,79)mcg/L dan 69(33-105)mcg/dL; bayi dengan jarak kelahiran sebelumnya 0 tahun(45,20%) 167,585(21,31-478,71)mcg/L dan 63(24-122)mcg/dL, <=2 tahun(16,50%) 162(19,87-401,98)mcg/L dan 72(38-105)mcg/dL, >2 tahun(37,30%) 151,76(26,56-473,58)mcg/L dan 70,5(9-154)mcg/dL; bayi dari ibu dengan suplementasi besi teratur(68,80%) 165,61(19,87-478,71)mcg/L dan 138(8-267)mcg/dL, tidak teratur(31,20%) 148,45(23,16-478,71)mcg/L dan 137(55-290)mcg/dL; bayi dari ibu berpendidikan rendah(2,30%) 161,355(50,41-317,29)mcg/L dan 81(43-94)mcg/dL, menengah(59,20%) 152(19,87-478,71)mcg/L dan 69(27-127)mcg/dL, tinggi(38,50%) 173,385(26,41-450,11)mcg/L dan 68(24-106)mcg/dL. Kesimpulan : Sebagian besar bayi baru lahir memiliki status besi normal. Kata kunci :Status besi, feritin, saturasi transferin, bayi baru lahir.

Background : Iron deficient is major nutritional problem in the world. Iron deficient in early life causes disturbance in growth and developmental. If iron deficiency can be detected in early life, there is a possibility of intervene to overcome it. Objective : To know the description of iron status in newborns at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Method : This study is a descriptive analytical which use cross sectional research design. Results : Total of subjects are 260 newborns. The mean of serum ferritin and transferrin saturation respectively : male (51%) 152,80(19,97-473,58)mcg/L and 66(27-122)mcg/dL, female(49%) 169,775(32,46-478,71)mcg/L and 71,5(24-154) mcg/dL; newborns with gestational age <40 week(48,50%) 150,995(21,31-473,58) and 72(24-127)mcg/dL, >40 week (51,50%) 170,28(19,87-471,73) and 65,5(27-122)mcg/dL; newborns which born spontaneously(70,40%) and 164,95(21,31-478,71)mcg/L 69(27-122)mcg/dL, sc(29,60%) 142,62(19,87-471,73)mcg/L and 69(24-10)mcg/dL; LBW(2,70%) 135,89(52,68-401,47)mcg/L and 66(27-127)mcg/dL, NBW(97,30%) 161,04(19,87-478,71)mcg/L and 71,5(24-154)mcg/dL; newborns from <=35 years old mother (82,30%) 162,59(19,87-478,71)mcg/L and 69(24-127)mcg/dL, >35 years old (17,70%) 147,59(50,41-348,79)mcg/L and 69(33-105)mcg/dL; newborns with the gap of birth 0 year(45,20%) 167,585(21,31-478,71)mcg/L and 63(24-122)mcg/dL, <=2 year(16,50%) 162(19,87-401,98)mcg/L and 72(38-105)mcg/dL, >2 year(37,30%) 151,76(26,56-473,58)mcg/L and 70,5(9-154)mcg/dL; newborns from mother with regular iron suplementation(68,80%) 165,61(19,87-478,71)mcg/L and 138(8-267)mcg/dL, irregular iron suplementation(31,20%) 148,45(23,16-478,71)mcg/L and 137(55-290)mcg/dL; newborns from low educated mother(2,30%) 161,355(50,41-317,29)mcg/L and 81(43-94)mcg/dL, middle educated(59,20%) 152(19,87-478,71)mcg/L and 69(27-127)mcg/dL, high educated(38,50%) 173,385(26,41-450,11)mcg/L and 68(24-106)mcg/dL.
