PENGARUH LARUTAN ALOCLAIR TERHADAP PERUBAHAN WARNA BASIS GIGI TIRUAN NYLON THERMOPLASTIC

INTISARI Basis gigi tiruan nylon thermoplastic merupakan alternatif untuk penggunaan konvensional resin akrilik. Denture stomatitis merupakan salah satu masalah yang dapat timbul pada pengguna gigi tiruan. Medikasi yang cukup dikenal luas dan digunakan dalam perawatan denture stomatitis antara lain Aloclair. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh larutan Aloclair terhadap perubahan warna basis gigi tiruan nylon thermoplastic. Penelitian menggunakan 10 sampel nylon thermoplastic berukuran 25 x 15 x 1,5 mm,. Kelompok I terdiri dari 5 sampel dengan perendaman dalam saliva buatan dan kelompok II terdiri dari 5sampel perendaman dalam larutan Aloclair, masing-masing direndam selama 7 hari. Perubahan warna diukur menggunakan spektrofotometer sebelum dan setelah perendaman. Uji statistik menggunakan Independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada perubahan warna sampel nylon thermoplastic antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok larutan Aloclair. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat pengaruh larutan Aloclair terhadap perubahan warna nylon thermoplastic. Kata kunci: nylon thermoplastic, perubahan warna, aloclair

ABSTRACT Nylon thermoplastic denture base is an alternative to the use of conventional acrylic resin . Denture stomatitis is one of the problems that can arise in denture users . Medications are fairly well known and used in the treatment of denture stomatitis among others Aloclair . This study aims to determine whether there are significant Aloclair effect to change color nylon thermoplastic denture base . The study used 10 samples of nylon thermoplastic measuring 25 x 15 x 1.5 mm. Group I consisted of 5 samples by immersion in artificial saliva and group II consisted of 5 samples soaking in a Aloclair solution, each immersed for 7 days . Color change is measured using a spectrophotometer before and after immersion . Statistical test using Independent t - test . The results showed no significant difference in the change of color samples of nylon thermoplastic between the control group and the group Aloclair solution .
