Pola Kehidupan Buruh Tanam Saat Musim Panen Tebu

Penelitian ini membahas kehidupan sehari-hari para buruh tanam tebu yang bekerja di Pabrik Gula Madukismo, tepatnya di Desa Padokan, kelurahan Tirtonirmolo, Kecamatan Kasihan, Kabupaten Bantul. Dimana dalam penelitian ini saya mencoba mengkaji seperti apa siklus kehidupan sosial ekonomi para buruh-buruh tanam tebu dalam industri gula berlangsung. Pabrik Gula Madukismo ini hingga saat masih aktif memproduksi tebu ini dalam setahun sekali. Proses penanam sendiri membutuhkan waktu yang relatife lama, dari bulan November hingga April ini lah proses penanaman bibit tebu berlangsung. Untuk panen hingga giling sendiri dilakukan dari bulan Mei-Oktober akhir, itu pun tergantung banyak tebunya yang akan di giling. Ketika musim giling, pihak pabrik menyewa buruh kasar untuk menebang tebu di beberapa area lahan tebu milik pabrik Madukismo. Fokus dari studi ini adalah mencoba melihat pola kehidupan para buruh tanam di dalam industri gula sedang berlangsung. Untuk kebutuhan pokok apa saja yang mereka keluarkan, lalu relasi kerja mereka dengan siapa aja . Dibagian mana saja para buruh tanam ini memposisikan mereka itu penting, lalu itu studi juga mencoba melihat sebatas mana hubungan kerja ( Patron-Klien) buruh tanam ini dalam industi gula terjalin. Selama pencaharian data, metode yang di pergunakan wawancara dan observasi partisipasi. Wawancara di lakukan secara terbuka maupun menggunakan pedoman wawancara. Dimana wawamcara secara tebuka sangat penting untuk menjalin keakraban dengan subjek penelitian dan menggali life history dalam kehidupan mereka. Observasi partisipasi berguna untuk mengamati subjek penelitan dalam keadaan yang sesungguhnya dan melihat aktivitas kerja mereka serta melihat aktivitas keseharian si buruh tanam ini seperti apa.

This study discusses the daily life of the planting of sugar cane workers who work in the sugar cane farms owned sugar mills Madukismo. They are the people who reside in the village Padokan, village Tirtonirmolo, Kasihan, Bantul. In this study, examined how social and economic life cycle of planting sugar cane workers in the sugar industry are ongoing. Sugar Factory Madukismo until now still actively producing sugar cane once a year. The process of sugarcane growers require a relatively long time, which is from November to April. To harvest until the milling is done in the period May to late October. The length of time depends on the extent of cane to be milled. When the milling season, the plant hire unskilled laborers to cut cane in some areas of sugarcane land owned Madukismo factory. The focus of the study is to analyze the pattern of life of sugarcane planting labor groups that contribute to the supply of cane ready though for the sustainability of the sugar industry Madukismo. Things that were examined in this study is the management aspects pendapatan¸untuk any fulfillment of their income, how relationships work in groups, and who are the members of this group. Is the pattern of labor relations workers reflects the pattern of patron-clien relations. The data were collected by interview and observation participation. Interview done openly and openly using interview guide is essential to establish familiarity with the subject of research and digging life history in their lives. Observation is useful to observe the subject's participation in a state of actual research and see their work activities and see daily activities of the workers. These results indicate that the pattern of social and economic life of the workers at this plant, to increase daily income mostly plant workers have a second job in addition to being labor of planting, as menggaduh livestock, kerajiaan hand, where the majority of these additional people especially in Hamlet Sukoharjo earn wages. in addition, workers wear downsize strategy to cover the daily needs of the results of this research work relationships that occur in everyday life of workers.
