PENGARUH JENIS FIBER PADA PASAK FABRICATED FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE TERHADAP KETAHANAN FRAKTUR AKAR

Gigi pasca perawatan saluran akar lebih rentan mengalami fraktur terutama pada bagian akar. Restorasi gigi yang tepat dapat mengurangi resiko terjadinya fraktur akar antara lain restorasi mahkota jaket dengan inti pasak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis fiber pada pasak fabricated reinforced composite terhadap ketahanan fraktur akar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua puluh tujuh gigi premolar bawah dipotong bagian koronalnya sehingga panjang apikokoronalnya 10 mm, setelah itu dilakukan perawatan saluran akar teknik crown down menggunakan bahan pengisi gutaperca dan siler resin. Subjek penelitian dibagi menjadi tiga berdasarkan jenis fiber reinforced composite. Masing-masing kelompok dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu A. dipasang pasak FRC fabricated polyethylene, B. dipasang pasak fabricated E-glass, dan C. Dengan resin komposit flowable. Dilakukan uji ketahanan fraktur akar menggunakan universal testing mechine. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat ketahanan fraktur akar pada jenis bahan pasak yang berbeda. Ketahanan fraktur yang tertinggi dengan bahan pasak FRC polyethylene, dan yang paling rendah dengan resin komposit flowable. Endodontically treated teeth more susceptible to fracture especially at the root. Correct restoration can minimize fracture risk, for example crown and post-core systems. Based on manufacturing, Fiber reinforced composite post divided into prefabricated and fabricated. The objective of this study was to evaluate effect in post fiber fabricated reinforced composite of root fracture resistance. The samples of this study were 27 mandibullary premolars that were coronally removed so apicocoronally length was 10 mm. The samples was treated endodontically crown down methode with single cone gutta percha and resin sealer. The samples divided into three group based on canal width, 9 each group. In group A. root canal were prepared so that post canal with polyethylene fiber, group B. canal with E-glass fiber and C. group with composite resins flowable. Samples were loaded to root failure with a Universal Testing Machine. The result of this research showed that there was a fracture resistance differences on different restorations fiber post width. The highest fracture resistance was polyethylene fiber post, and the lowest is composite resins flowable.
